can't you get a credit card with interest free for 6 months and transfer the balance then the bike will be paid off in there eyes you have interest free on the amount and when you sell the bike pay off the balance and then cancel the card?

no. some have delicate finishes or plastic inserts ect on the rim. alloy wheels are quite tough generally its the monkey fitter that fooks them up. a good tyre place is best for your alloys

maybe so they dont damage the face when levering the tyre on. (complete guess btw)
