if you ae unsure compression test it. if the guy was genuine he wouldnt mind you doing it! always better to be safe than sorry.

when you turn the ignition on (not started yet) its common to here the fuel pump prime the lines with a short buzz. then it should run silent.

mine has had a dodgy oil pressure guage since i purchased it 2 years ago sometimmes it sits at 0 other time it reads in the middle of the guage. standard figures it should be half to 3/4 when cold once warm idle at 1/4 then under load 1/2 to 3/4 depending on oil type

joel i have found a schematic for the wiring and if i get the components from a donor car it looks like the main thing i need is a feed from the speedo

how much wiring needs to be hooked up? :(
