    not under pressure it isnt!!
  5. got an air compressor if so put a piece of wood or simular soft piece in the gap between the pistons. use an air compressor blow gun in the brake line input and keep fingers and anything you dont want to loose out of the way. i used 2 screwdrivers VERY carefully in the groove of the piston and prised it upwards till i could remove by hand. be very careful not to score surface of the piston or bore of the caliper
  6. use a pad called scotchbrite its like an engineering scouring pad will remove the grime but will not harm the surface like emery cloth. if they are too pitted they should be replaced as they will leak
  7. yes mate. like the idea of the castlated tops. just wondered how the bottoms of the brembo pistons were finished. the stock ones have 3 pips on the bottom which i assume are to allow the fluid to flow underneath. i was wondering if there was a better more efficient design. tried looking at wilwood calipers but they are flat bottomed  pics below show a stock caliper piston bottom. good pics eigh that my new phone LOL

  10.  or out your rear view/side mirrors.,speedo while checking your speed as you wouldn't want to go 1 mph over the speed limit. fuel guage (more relevent for z's) temp guage (again more relevent to z's) looking where you dropped your big mac lettuce filling and trying to balance a mobile phone on your shoulder while sipping from a large pepsi  all in theory of course! jeeez wouldn't want to be taken the wrong way would i.
  11. nope its not classed as a classic. 1. not officially old enough (used to be 25 years iirc) 2. not quite rare enough 3. they can't accept the beauty of the Z :D
  12. thats why manufacturers are spending thousands installing built in sat nav systems in there products dashboards. the way the z dash is means you are looking forward at it anyway not like a ford fooktus where you are above it.

  15. yes the problems you are encountering. premature wear of the centre bearings possible damage to gearbox or diff.if left long enough. take it back to where you had ift fitted and get them to sort it. prop misalignment most likely cause so when you had the box fitted they didnt fit it back on correctly
  16. prop vibration. misaligned prop or bearing on way out
