Also, in addition to the fully trained mechanic part, i spent 2 years at college doing motor mechanics at a poor, but adequet level, nvq, and i have certificates, but i was told to become a technition i was to spend another 3 years at a work placement, now to me, thats 5 years, so what this young chap is telling me is that hes been at college, or, a work place since he was 11 years old, then took all of the tests required to become a 'fully trained mechanic'', bearing in mind i done i think it was 18/19 exams which encluded pratical and theory

Lol i wouldnt waste my fuel, plus i wouldnt wanna catch whatever gave one of them the furry mould stuff he had on top of his lip! (moustashe:rofl:) One did get a bit lippy, and i did ask him if he'd like a knuckle sandwich, shortly after that they left! Just really gets up my nose sometimes, i work hard for everything i got, never had no loans, nor leant money, and i own land rover discovery 1, and a 300zx at 19, neither of which were cheap. I think people are just jealous!

It seems i have wasted my money buying a 300zx TT a young lad told me..... Yesterday i was sat on my drive, showing a few of my mates my new pride and joy, when i seen 2 greasy skinned, acne riddled youths walking towards me. One of them politely asked me, 'what did you buy that piece of shit for?' I replied, 'like to see what you got' He then answered, ' i got a golf GT TDI, its got 3 chips in it, 190 bhp, it will piss all over that' I said, ' i have a bag of McCains oven chips in the boot' - he looks blankly Then the other says, ' my 309 is better than that' I said, go and get them then and ill meet you somewhere, they then go on to explain how they cant actually drive, mainly becuase they are only 16, BUT one of them is a FULLY trained mechanic:rofl: So basically ive wasted my money and should of bought a stinking diesel, but dont some people just piss you off?!

I think its running standard boost, i need a more accurate boost gauge really. No its not for sale lol, i did read they are the shiznick! Also i got the original receipt for £285 and manual for it, just wondered what everyone else had theres on?

It came in the car, i think its running standard boost as it is, i just dont want to blow up things too soon. It does run a JWT chip which i assume is for more fuel when running higher boost, also it features a low and high boost setting which can be adjusted easily, which ill probably use from time to time, just dont want to run extra boost everyday

Hi, just bought my first Zed, it came with a profec b spec 2 boost controller, and was just wondering what all the settings should be on for standard boost?

Ive just realised, i have what looks like an import N/A front bumper? How will i wire up the indicators and fogs?

Well im back from my weekend away, i might not take it to japfest its a bit on the rough side for me. Get all the work done soon hopefully. Mines certainly not slugish to say the least lol. Also thanks for the compliments!

You know, i did wonder that, he never said it had a different front bumper, but its pretty obvious! Ive gotta get another one anyway as its shagged, could you point me in the right direction for a turbo one? Or just post a pic of what im looking for, im reasonably new to Zeds. As for the spoiler, the bootlids also past its time, so im going to get another one, but the spoiler i have has always been my favourite. Thanks for the advice on how to treat it right, hopefully it will prolong the life :)

RR printout for 328bhp 348 torque, power courve looks pretty healthy aswell for a turbo, im not sure if thats at the wheels or excluding transmission losses etc, i cant see it being rwhp???

I forgot to put a spec for the Zed, its 1992, uk twin turbo, manwel, has mongoose system turbos back, profec b or whatever boost controller ( i dare touch it!) has hornet alarm, dump valves replacing the original re-circs, and i think thats it. This is my first turbo (other than my discovry 1 300tdi!) so is there anything i should be doing in particular? I always wait for it to warm up and let it stand running when i park up for a while, ill have to look in to getting a turbo timer. I have given it stick a couple of times , but i dont give it beans all the time as i respect the cars i own (im not fortunate enough to have loans, or family buy me the car!)

Anyway heres the pics My last car, apsolutely spottless by the time i finished on it, wish i never sold it, was pretty shocking when i bought it, managed to find a fully rebuilt xr3i efi cvh engine for it, had nearly a full respray and lots of other hard to find parts for it And this was one of about 8 Novas i owned and built, started with lots of 1.2's, 2 sr's, then a nova fun, which was fun once i rebuilt a mk2 c20xe for it. So theres a short profile of the work ive put in over the years, so hopefully you should have a good idea of what my new pride and joy should look like. There will be a WIP thread once ive subscribed.

Yeh i have a few, but it doesnt look as good as it does in the pics! Got a lot of work to do, probably have a blow over in gloss black or high gloss black, its that mettalic black colour at the minute, im not a great mettalic fine, more of a shiney gloss :D Do you have to link htm or whatever it is, like photobucket? Its been about 16 months since i last used a forum like everyday! Hopefully ill used this one everyday for a while! (hopefully not to find out how to fix things!)

I did have a look at a thread, looks like a pain of a job, i could see the lines linking from what looks like the fuel filter to be perrished also, hopefully it could be just them?

I got my Z back and i love it! By far the best car ive ever owned, few little things, petrol smell, where does the rubber perrish? It just passed MOT so it shouldnt be the fuel lines anyway but ill have a look. It will be having a full respray soon with all the bits done so its nice for the summer, but overall, i absolutely love the car to pieces
