Air con belt missing
Good thinking batman! :D Im not too fussed, im not sure if i want it or not, would be nice i suppose. The compressor is not seized, nor does it make any unusual noises when being spun. So i was thinking perhaps it needs regassing. Another thing as i havnt got familiar with the Zed engine bay yet, but where do i find the air con rad? Save me searching around for it, i did have a very brief look but couldnt see it in any obvious place, surely its infront of the main rad and viscous fan to keep it cool?

Air con belt missing
I bought my 300zx with the air con belt missing, Paul (previous owner) said he never realised, is there a reason why someone may have removed this belt? Or is it likely to have just come of and someones not bothered putting one back on?

Lol that was lucky! I once had a car following really close when i had my XE nova, i then put my foot down to accelerate to 90 in a 60 and then he pulled me in an unmarked BMW. Luckily he just told me to go home for the night!

Kids!
Lol, its funny you should say that, someone tried telling me mine was a straigh 6 last night! A smoothed out dump valve??? Bored out to a 10? A 10 litre? Thats one hell of a stroker kit! As for a 300bhp fiesta, i have a slightly retarded friend that was sure his 5 door 1.3 fiesta was quicker than the xr3i i had. Must be a fiesta owner thing!

Arnt they road legal? I should imagine they are of a soft compound, so i wouldnt want to use them on the road too much anyway, get torn apart!. Also when i had looked for some they wernt too cheap.

I see clearer now!:) It is strange though, i once had 2 novas, one that i fitted astra gte brakes to which i think were 232mm? It was a long time ago, and then another i fitted omega v6 brakes to with green stuff pads, and grooved and drilled disks. The smaller, standard brakes locked up a lot, and never really gave a great stopping distance, however the hoooge v6 ones gave great stopping power, and i only ever locked them up once. However, as you said, the tyres we a lot better, plus it had the weight of a c20xe i fitted. But ive always thought, the brakes are as good as the tyres, looks like youll have 888's on order soon too! :P

Cool, i was aware of all of these factors, except the heat dissipation, something ive never been taught, nore have i read anywhere before, still, i love to learn :D I always thought, that the idea of having more pots with one caliper was to give a greater pressure on an even, and increased surface really. Back in the days when i used to ride a push bike and buy Fast Car UK, they featured a US bmw, which used i think was 8 pots on one side of the disk, and then 6 pots adjacent to them.........

I remember a company that make alloy brackets, a mate of mine had some on an FRST, dont qoute me but i think willwood stock some, i doubt very much for what your asking. But i do know there is a company that do such things. Personally id find some adequate disks, if its a budget whatevers biggest that will fit under your wheels then have the brakets made up. But, i was wondering, if you could find some Porsche ceramic disks cheap, and if they fit the hub, have them drill/machined, but i dont know if this will be very realistic under heavy use? I dont mean to insult, but whats better with the Porsch calipers? Do they allow you to run bigger disks? I was expecting to see 6 pots, still, at least they look better :p
