  1. Tudor - The car was first registered in horwich in 1993, I purchased the car from Derby 6 1/2 years ago, and tbh I was undecided weather or not to buy it no history, previous repaired light front end but the 60,000 mile stamp was under the bonnet done after 3 years of ownership so it was all motorway until then. I got it cos it took me 6 months to find (and also had a favorable haggle :)) Sorry about the UK bumper :( Should have let on m8 on beaumont road. Rev Richie - I have 2 tailgates here the spoiler has been taken off the orange one the glass heater don't work either, I also have a yellow one which I sanded down and never did anything with, these are both covered up in garden but I recently got a quote to send one of these and that came out at £70
  2. Not clicked the links but I got mine off a guy on eBay based in uk called mr.gaitor
  3. Finished this last week but today I have lost my photobucket virginity today , so the pics are here. I have not puck back in car yet so don't know how they will sound, also a few more jobs to do in the back yet before these go back in ;) iphone pics
  4. Cool, cheers for that bud, I have a really bad memory and time is going too fast since I took engine out, soon I will have totally forgot what I did lol
  5. Could'nt keep it, too new for the k plate, sold to a forum member though, that was the real heart breaker I suppose I could have found an L reg one if I waited/looked hard enough :death:
  6. Daz, yep the carpet was out of that one, and the rear will be swapped even though it hates the driveway :cursing: Craig, It was already gone, the drain pipe from the roof that goes into the sil literally fell out of the bottom of the car, keano was present when I knocked the sil from the outside, it rotted inside to out m8, even if the welding was done the kit would have to be off and on then a respray which would probally cost 500 notes. I still have the pipe, it looks like its been recovered from the titanic Dave, the engines goin in my new one even at 100,000 it proven its stong so It can replace the 48,000 miler one thats currently in running on a seized turbo. was thinking about goin for a bit more power but don't have the cash matey, even so the thought of the bigger injectors feeding more petrol on a already poor consumption car is crazy lol
  7. Yes the car I owned for six and a half years went to the crushers a few months ago :(. Failed mot on a rotten sil, a hole the size of a 50p, and the other side was cracked, also a bald inside edge on tyre (no adjustable camber arms lowered on 18's) I have had rust welded up on vans before and it really is a long term battle. I knew that it was its final year last year as the arches were going bubbly the filler was cracking and on some parts the kit was coming away. It was a sad day but I knew it would'nt last forever. All the parts off it will be put on my new series one car a year older but only been imported since 2005, very clean body. Lots of work to do, just need some motivation and a of couse some spare cash (no chance lol) Before and After, (only taken about 2 weeks apart)
  8. My new z has stock brakes, my scrapped z had evo brakes, buy it some evo calipers please :) And I do belive tyres are the most important thing on any car as they are the only part that touch the road!
  9. I got a full set of springs and shocks of a j spec tt are they the same as na?
  10. I got a xtd clutch with a lightened flywheel from the states a few years ago and it managed to hold 439 torque. Not bad I only paid abot £320 delivered in all but that was back then. If you could change yourself maybe that should do until something comes up, just don't go mad pn the fast pedal.
  11. Mine has a seized turbo and don't smoke
  12. Agreed, when I took mine off there where only a few tablespoons of oil present.
  13. Can't be much help at moment (phone at work) but if you look in the online manual ( search this forum for link) the operating temperatures are in there and your m8 is more or less right. I've got a oil cooler on a spare uk diff in garage and don't feel the need to change it to my jap one
  14. Happy Birthday Matey!
  15. Am in full swing of it now hopefully I'l be finished on wednesday and I'll put some piccys up But I have yet to fit a stereo lol
  16. I went today, all of us enjoyed it, the monster truck and bikes are on tomorrow If I had known that I would have gone tomorrow but even on the telly advert in the trafford center it showed all the attractions and was clearly stating april 17th and 18th, did'nt say the truck and bikes were only on sunday. And Daz went the the megane :surrender:
  17. How? lol I used to have 6x4's but now the trims all taken apart in the back I want to do as much as I can, snd a m8 has given me some 6x9 infinitiy so I am determined to get em in. Just spent oven an hour in the garage trying to sort something :pinch:
  18. I am going to do this amongst other things while the rear trims all out, anyone got any photo's? Need some ideas cos it looks a bit daunting after a quick look last night. Cheers
  19. Lol. I'm doing exactly the same to my car apart from the front mount. Can't get motivated though as I've done it all before :/. Volvo looks sweet I wanted one years ago but feared for my street cred getting an estate at 23. I got a Renault instead lol
  20. yes please, that would be great
  21. Anybody know where to get them from at a reasonable price, I rang mellett up and they only deal with trade so I ring a turbo company they put me onto and they wanted £15 each, I don't spend that on the kid at christmas
  22. Just ask for some instant liquid gasket m8
  23. I put the wheels on railway sleepers. 2 high plus measuring from floor to sill is enough to get the box out easily. I have a 55cm lift jack though.
