MeisterR SRV Test Day @ Silverstone Arena GP Video
A short video of a lap around the full Formula 1 Silverstone Arena GP Circuit in the MeisterR R32 GTR.* Not the fastest lap time but it was a track-day so passing is straightly limited by consent. It was a quick test to see how well the new SRV coilovers will respond to fast track work, and what better place to test than the full Formula 1 circuit at the "Home of the British Grand Prix." A drama free day with the SRV suspension working very well. The SRV provided a comfortable 2 hours drive on the motorway to the circuit and stable dynamic at the limit on the track; even for an amateur driver like myself.* :) mrM1T3_1XcQ

MeisterR SRV Coilovers Research and Development Video
It isn't vehicle speed but damper piston speed. And depending on what you are doing the piston damper will achieve different speeds. This is where you can adjust the characteristic of the vehicle. :) The music is awesome isn't it? Price are not yet decided, but we are looking at the £1200 - £1500 area.

MeisterR SRV Coilovers Research and Development Video
A short video of research and development of MeisterR's new SRV (Speed Reactive Valve) Coilovers. We estimate for June 2012 release. However, if you are interested in the SRV Coilovers, please contact us at info@meisterr.com and we will be happy to provide you with more details. The new SRV piston valve design uses the latest technology to provide comfort during motorway cruising, steering response on twisty roads, and compliancy over uneven surfaces. Each SRV Coilovers will be hand assemble in UK using the highest quality material (Precision CNC Alloy Pistons, Silkolene Damper Oil, etc) to provide the highest level and fade free performance under any condition. We will have more details and testing in the near future, so stay tuned, subscribe, and join our Facebook page for more info. * http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhR0hAJNYL8

Price for High End Single Adjustable Coilovers?
Just a general questions to the community. Many of us searching for high-end adjustable suspension are face with many choices. As it will be a huge investments for most of us, we all want to make sure that we are making the right decision. But ultimately, it comes down to prices and what we can afford. We would all love to ride on a set of Ohlins DFV, but at £2500 a set it is just a bit outside of the budget for many of us. So the questions here is what "High End" suspension do you think you can afford? How much is it? And why would you choose that over anything else in the same price bracket? As the keyword here is 'affordable', lets try to keep the RRP of the coilovers below £1500.

200mph
I found this on youtube, I guess it say how hard it is to make 200mph. I remember reading somewhere that it takes 100 horsepower to get from 199mph to 200mph due to aerodynamic resistant.

Does anyone drift their z........?
I am not sure but sure not many people drift the Z. It is a pretty heavy car, and a complicated engine to work with. Also quite crowded in the front so not the best to get air in to cool things down. Not too sure about the front, but I think it might also lack the steering lock needed. That is why you see so many S-body get drifted as they are easier to work with and have loads of support when it comes to getting the things you need to get the car drifting well.

z32 vs r33 gtr
Standard GTR internal is good for around 550bhp, the standard turbo will be good for around 380 - 420bhp or so. Once you get over that, things get expensive as you need upgraded turbo, fuel system, head gasket or internal, ECU, oil coolers, etc. Once you get pass around 600bhp it get more expensive as you are starting to see limits of the gearbox. You CAN push it, but it will break... granted anything breaks but chances are lower with uprated internal. As far as things goes... there are a lot of advancement in the GTR world. RB30 can be easily bought from Australia, newer turbo have much better response such as the Garrett GTX, Borg Warner, Precision, etc... What I find is that once you get massive power, you really appreciate the 4WD system. I had an issue with 4WD earlier, and the 4WD system wouldn't work. When my mechanic took it out for a test, he said he hated it. Just feel very unsafe and will spin the wheels at almost any gear at any speed. Mind you he is a Professional Drift Driver and he still say that! Once we sort the 4WD system out, he really really like how the car drive. Very safe, very stable, and the power feels much more progressive... Car goes forward instead of spinning its wheels. So that is where the issue is for me on the Z32... It is a great GT cars... but once you get into big power you really need 4WD. I think anything over 500bhp with 2WD is going to be a hand full... and chances are it will not be fun to drive.

200mph
It depends on where you are going to do it also. If you are going to do it safely, then it will have to be on a runway such as RAF Marham event, but you ONLY get about one and a half mile before you have to brake for the turn so to make 200mph on that will need a bit of power. I think I manage only 175 mph last time before I jump on the brake, but that was only with 600bhp or so. Remember that you have to take into account of aerodynamic high speed will cause instability, downforce will cause drag. The Z32 is probably a good base, but I would say you will need at least 800 bhp (maybe more) to do it in a safe place in the UK. You can have a lot less power if you have access to the VW Test Track in Germany (6 miles straight) or go to the Autobahn but that is still a little dangerous as it is public road, but at least it is legal.

If you can go for a retro tuner look if you want something different. :)

HP results???
It can be done... I always thought traditionally the Z is always a space issue, as there are only so much room to mount the twin turbo setup. But with newer modern turbo such as the Garrett GTX series, smaller turbo are efficient up to over 2 Bar of boost, and that mean you can really push the engine now while retaining reasonable boost response. The only thing I find problematic with high bhp is traction... With my R32 and the 4WD system turn off... the car feel deadly. Put the paddle on the floor and the car will spin up the tyres in most gear with the turbo kick in... All things consider the kick is not too violent already as it is a somewhat modern turbo. Will be great to see a Z back on track as they were the original "Japanese Muscle" in the American drag racing scene along with the Supra. :)

A bit of drag racing fun (winning from 3.4 seconds behind)
Yea, I love that HUD. It also double up as a shift light but easier to look at the big tacho for drag strip environment.

A bit of drag racing fun (winning from 3.4 seconds behind)
Was down at shakespeare county raceway with a few friend in the MeisterR R32 GTR and thought this video was a bit funny. :) Was still staging when the marshall drop the light, so my friends got a 3.4 seconds head start on me... But manage to catch up to him by the end and beat him by 0.039 of a second (thats is 39 milliseconds)! It wasn't a real race, but it was just funny to catch up and still cross the line first from such a massive head start. The run itself isn't any good either with wheel spin in most of first gear... I uploaded a few more video so join our channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/MeisterRcoilovers Of course, you can always find us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/MeisterR.UK

MeisterR One-Two Finish at BDC 2011
What a end to the 2011 British Drift Championship. The final round at the Nissan Factory was tense, as the championship was up for grab and it was anyone's game! I am happy to announce that MeisterR had a great finish sponsoring the champion of the professional class and the runner-up of the super professional class. Both cars are using off the shelf MeisterR Zeta-R Coilovers, and have ran though the entire season without skipping a beat. So excited to share the news and my biggest congratulation to the Team and the Driver! Roll on 2012 and we will be back better and stronger!!!
