  1. spot on there Stu
  2. would not be allowed on newer engines even here in the UK because of emissions regulations as smithy said. our cars are old enough to not worry about. EGR reduces NOx formation by: (a) reducing peak combustion temperatures due to the thermal capacity of burned gasses being higher than that of air and (b) reducing the quantity of nitrogen and oxygenavailable to produce nitrogen oxide in the conbustion chamber
  3. lol :rofl: i dont even own anything thats beige burberry!
  4. lol he hardly ever answers his fone unless u catch him at exactly th right moment.... .....or he could just be ignoring me when i ring :slap:
  5. true but it gives you soooo much more room and easier access, mine had to come off to be replaced anyway
  6. i will be attempting mine very soon, having stripped down the front already this weekend it dsnt look too difficult to be honest. need to remove h/l panel, bumper, t-pipe with afm and filter, electric fan, unbolted th oil cooler as well so i can move it around.
  7. no worries jack, glad you got it sorted yas
  8. good luck alex, keep us informed yas
  9. neil, zed centre dont do engine work/servicing/etc. besides theres few things more rewarding than working on your own 300 yourself, it might take longer but you learn so much in the process and save money

  13. right iv decided to do this, but i dont have enough length of the original rubber pipes, will i need any specific pipes; minimum thickness/strength to cope with pressure?
  14. PMSL :rofl::rofl::rofl: we're being invaded
  15. :confused: WTF???
  16. mark, but then that mean he has to actually pay for it n hes a tight git! i got fed up of his begging and agreed to let him borrow mine in the end :tongue:
  17. oh yeh and il probably becomin down next weekend with the swb so we can do the lock swap etc. that ok?
  18. while your here andy, chunk says "hurry up with the autobox u nob" :rofl: lol no seriously he wants to get the car to jd's so he can sort it :slap:
  19. http://www.zcentre.co.uk/interior/radioslot.htm ;)
  20. i had one too but sold it to chunk when i decided to break my old zed. by using my old engine oil cooler for the autobox, which in effect is what you have done will save me about £100. also, as far as i know there are no issues with the stock engine oil cooler so wont need to bother changing that.
  21. thanks danny, i probably wouldnt have thought of those points. wrt the location, i just realised there is only one cooler on the swb which is the engine oil cooler. the autobox oil goes through the side of the rad right? so there should be plenty of space to mount it in front of the engine oil cooler or even above it
  22. yeh, i thot it was great. never once thought it coulda been who it was, ended up suspecting pretty much evryone els at some point lol
  23. was thinking last night that il probably have to get a new, bigger oil cooler for the swb, then remembered iv still got my old stock engine oil cooler (import). can anyone see any problems with simply plumbing it in series with the existing one? i think its a great idea but then someone will probably tel me why i cant do it :slap: yas
