  9. you can shift from D to N and back without needing to press the button but you need to press the button to go into R or 2 or 1 or P. Pretty sure that's correct. I'll check if I drive the z tomorrow.
  10. yes, differences also in the doors, rear quarter windows, tailgate and rear bumper
  11. no need to mike, i worked for a year for Holset; engine matching, part selecting and commisioning the build of prototype and production turbos for engines that will be released in 2-3 years time. I don't doubt he has masses of knowledge on performance cars, i just know a lot about turbos ;) its just ridiculous to blame a catastrophic failure of a turbo and subsequently the engine on loss of backpressure alone. completely understandable, and you should have said that in the first post. it can very easily be interpreted as ''don't fit a big bore exhaust to your car or this will happen''
  12. hugely doubt the above mod caused the turbo to fail. if an impeller fails by loosing a blade then that happens through fatigue, if it fails prematurely then thats through abuse or material impurities. the guy was most likely just unlucky.
  13. il find the timeslip when i get home and post it up
  14. went up against one at the pod and got slaughtered! got beaten by 2 seconds and he was very far ahead!
  15. Tailgate Skin: Perspex Lens: Both require removal of stock spoiler.
  16. how about a copy and paste or screen dump
  17. sender would replace one of the screws (depending on the thread matching of course)
  18. there should be little blanking screws in the extra holes
  19. i don't think so, i wasnt aware they came in different grades, standard should be fine, the stock ones are.
  20. no worries, 2m of 8mm fuel hose will be more than enough
  21. smithys braided fuel line kit replaces all the rubber lines in the engine bay, i beleive all the rest are metal
  22. guy in leicester does these, he makes a killing everytime ntl block the dodgy cards as all the people go back to get it reprogrammed
  23. been there, done that, saved a fortune ;)

the thrust collar, oil slinger and impeller are sandwiched between a step on the shaft and the locking nut at the compressor end, the thrust bearing floats between the thrust collar and the slinger on a cushiom of oil, but it dsnt move. the thrust bearing prevents axial movement of the rotor in both directions. fit step-gap seals in place of standard ones to prevent failure, alot more reliable than normal seals, don't expect to be able to abuse your turbos though.
  25. jap cars have a slight brown tint to the glass, i believe uk cars have a slight blue tint, both are standard
