The switch is located on the drivers side of the gearbox IIRC. It's a pain to replace i'm afraid, mine waited till the gearbox came out :( Vijay

Personally, I would never put my car into a Nissan dealers to work on. You'd be pushed to find a mechanic at a dealership who knows exactly what he's doing on a 300zx. Vijay
