body and inside never gave me an ounce of probs but the engine was just so hard to get at and the auto box just so weak i always yearned to stick a diffrent engine and box in.............the one thing that was always in a z's favour was the handling so many people have said it was skittish in the wet and bends but not once did i ever feel unsafe because it always let you know when you were being too much of a dick in it......sadly i dont think its on the road anymore

people are already exchanging these cars for over book value over here hopefully once they catch up with demand we shall see an influx and i cant wait for the import market to open up on these im still considering buying a us one and shipping

cruel or not but i caught the little scrote in the process of taking mine while at my mums the other day....i waited while he got the first then walked out and stood there while he started on the second. his friend who was supposed to be standing guard shit himself when he realised and shouted but it was too late. the lad was about seven as i started to *****ck him i for a second felt a little guilty but then i thought why should i....he lived 4 doors down from my ma and he was a good friend of my sisters little lad....i asked him where his dad was and at this point he burst into tears i then told him to put them back on and if they went ever again i would be round to have words with his dad and the police.....at this point i went back into the house and forgot about the whole incident until his grandmother who was babysitting him came round to apologise with him still being in tears thinking his dad was gonna beat him....and then at this point my dad called me a tight git for having him in tears...........go figure eh

ive always fancied an alpine b10 bmw they are monster quick and also look like a street sleeper

you can buy a lot of cars for 10k and then spend another 20k that would not only own a z but also be a lot more reliable.......and lets not try to stray too far from the league a z is in.......its defo not in ferrari or lambo territory and anyone who says it is delusional.....the z was aimed at high end 911 or bmw of the time and in this sense it did perform to expectations and then some but here is the shift in expectations z owners then beleived it was a ferrari or lambo killer something its never gonna be.......in its class the z is unique and will be so for a good few years yet but 20 years on its bound to have youger cars nipping at its heels.......you are never going to get back what you put into the z as the depreciation is now hammering them yet at the same time the cost of parts isnt which is the only thing that will be the z's doom.....its cheaper now to maintain an old porker even a lambo than it is to carry on with a z and thats not fiction

dave hit the nail right on the head...........the z in the 80's was a supercar and as such it still deserves a little respect today but hell lets face it this is a 300 forum ure not going to get people who are here because they own one and have spent stupid amounts of money on their car to take a ribbing without retorting......its not fun knowing you have spent vast sums in the pursuit of speed or bhp then something new comes along and spanks you for a lot less some people will just see sense and move on to better things but a niche group will always keep what they see as a car legend alive and fair play to them for doing so
