  1. Unfortunately I need to sell my Zed as I have a new business and need a van. Pretty much standard except for: BBS Wheels 99 Style rear lights (made by Bird) Steering wheel redone in leather by Mondo Phillips CMD310 stereo that allow an iPhone to dock / charge Refurb turbos were fitted last year and a know good auto box fitted this week both by PowerZed Looking for £4,000
  2. Had a great drive back from PowerZed after Jim changed the gearbox for me. Car is now running like a dream.
  3. Working on the Zed again and realised i hadn't reset the ECU's so disconnected battery and left for half an hour. Took car for a run and changed from 1st to 2nd without giving it beans but cruised at 70mph at 3.5k revs, is this normal ? Still felt like it wanted to race all the time.. Got home and ran the AT diagnostics and came back with no errors. I then got the meter out to check the TPS again and noticed that with ignition on but not turning the engine over, voltages all correct (0.42v rising when throttle pressed) but as soon as i gave any throttle there was a buzzing from the back of the engine... Is there an electronic solonoid on the gearbox that may be on its way out ?
  4. Spent all day working on the Zed, trying sort out this issue... Replaced the ATCU (Thanks JaiKai for the replacement) Didn't solve problem but did allow me to do the Auto Box diagnostics it flashed up error 3 - Throttle Sensor Circuit Short Circuited or Disconnected. Checked the TPS voltage a little high but within specs so adjusted a little lower, just in case. Checked the voltage across pins 34 and 35 on the ATCU and was a little low about .3v rising when the throttle was pressed. Still doing the same running at 3.5k rpm at 70ish mph and still wont change when given the beans... ideas ??
  5. Checked the connectors etc around the footwell and all clean and dry, pins look like new. Checked the TPS plug and that was a bit green so cleaned that up. Took it for a run and still not changing from 1st when i give it beans but if I lift slightly it changes and is OK for the other gears.
  6. Thanks Jeff I had taken the kick plate off to check for water but was all dry. I didn't look at the connectors at the side though. Will try and take a look tomorrow and see .
  7. The gearbox has developed an interesting issue over the last few weeks. If I drive conservatively the gear change is as per normal but if I give it some beans it doesn't change gear unless i lift the throttle a bit and it changes OK. Most of the time this is when going from a standstill but one when going along and had to escape a numpty from crashing into the back of me as they weren't paying attention. I have had the gearbox fluid replaced and the gear changes are a lot better but this problem persists. For some reason my Datascan will not connect to do a diagnostic. Is this something simple like TPS or kick down switch?

  10. Thanks for the offers guys, I have ordered some on next day delivery.
  11. Auto shops here only had H1 and H3 bulbs with 1 pin. I will look online and see if I can get some. If not I will solder an earth cable to the H3s. Thanks gents
  12. Got the bulb secure in the headlight with the spring clip thing but only have one pin and a 2 pin connector
  13. I have been looking to remove the HIDs ready for my upcoming MOT but cannot get the normal bulbs to work... I have removed all of the HID wiring and left with a 2 pin socket and installed H3 bulbs. I have plugged the cable form the bulb into both of the terminals but it doesn't work and cannot find any pictures of the normal wiring / connection to know what is wrong. I am guessing a bit of wiring was removed but cannot remember as it was 4 years ago. Any advise?
  14. I live a few miles from Rockingham, so if you want me to do anything let me know ( I am also a procurement manager so used to negotiating contracts etc). My father-in-law may still be a Trustee at Silverstone, so I am speaking to him about what they could do for us. He is also a member of the British Racing Drivers Club.
  15. If Bigh doesn't want the manual conversion, can you put me down for 2nd dibs
  16. Collected the Zed this morning from Powerzed and Oh My God what a job Jim has done! Not only has he replaced both turbos, but he has cleaned all of the injectors connectors and changed the TPS. The car not only sounds amazing but god does it go! Two years without boost. The drive home was glorious, even if it did scare me a few times when I forgot I had boost now. Many thanks Jim
  17. After discovering the Zed has not boost 2 years ago, I finally took a trip to Bristol for Jimmer to fix! Stop off in Reading to have lunch with my daughter, who's at University, then back to Geddington

  21. Well I ran the test Jeff suggested and got nothing from the drivers side, passenger side was blowing. Just my luck.... looks like I will be saving some pennies to get a turbo swap...
  22. Thanks Jeff, I will try this tonight and see what happens...
  23. Is this the little black box by the Brake Master cylinder, attached to the inner wing? If so the pipe had split where it connects, I have replaced the pipe.
  24. They fluctuate but not by much. From what Jeff told me on my last Zed, I think I need to change them but want to get the boost sorted first (unless this may be causing it)
