  1. hang on so am i hearing if i buy a uk genuine speedo then i just plug and play.
  2. right here we go with parts needed for my new car. its a 1990 jap man tt, the clock cluster had been replaced some time back and i do know its had a new speed censor in the gearbox, now the issue is that when the ecu reconises that the speed kmp converter thingy box from kmp to mph this cuse its naff. this then sends a message to the ecu saying your doing max speed, then the cars stering into stiff sterring mode, so that said if im right, i need a kmp to mph convertor box of tricks thing. were the best most decend sound place to get one off these, luke at z center.i guess.
  3. thanks guys and yes i took the bloke out for a drive and put it through it paces then the new owner got init and i was scared sitting in the back and that was just before we left the tesco car park, unfortunatly the man could not drive for tofee but nice bloke thuogh. but i had to at one point say you break it you bought it ,then you crash you bought it thoes the rules, he only frove it a few miles then i carfully loaded onto a truck for him. his got a bargain and he lives on jeffs doorstep, so no doubt jeff will have a new customer , out with old and in with the, well the old i guess. right here we go again.cheers

  6. sorry lee but thanks for the refund , you have my pay pal details?
  7. Mark unwraped the bubble rap infront of me and i said can you put my millage on then. so he went on to strip them to do that and the first thing was the millage odemeter thing was broke ,you know the thing were you reset the millage back to zero, but never mind mark tried to glue but wernt happaning so he got one of his out of a spare bits and bobs lyiny around, then onece that was done tried for over ten mins trying to get the neddle to move as it should do freely but that was stiff and had been previus removed by someone who had done a conversion on them and didnt take the clock face off but put it on over the origanal jap one, after a nother ten min trying to get this neddle free anough to work it was time to see if they would. mine was then striped and yours pluged in only to find that there was no diff between mine the uk ones and the ones i had bought of you, so then mark went to check the speed sensor and after taken it out and spinning it connected to a meter of sorts foundthat it was working, then after then checking my wiring and i had the signal from were i should and i had put back my clocks back in and they worked ,so the summary was that all this pluging and unpluging made the connection better, and worked, so with mine working then decided to plug yours back in to see and no the speedo still didnt work ,and thought it best to plug my uk now working ones back in. i think that covers it, two hours later and a very respectable bill later, i went back on my way to home to finish up my day and a way over two hundred mile trip and me roughly 130 pounds lighter including fuel, parts and labour for a loose connection. in a nut shell i think thats it. bar that i enjoyed what should be my last journey as ive got someone comming down tomorow to take away as he bought it from my ebay sale. whatch this space.
  8. i drove to mark darbeys place in Notts to replace the speedo cluster that hasnt worked since i had the car over ten years. bought one from Jakie aka Lee who kindly send it to marks address for me . once there we changed the clocks over after some fettleing with then to find out that they do not work as well. turns out that the clocks i bought were naff and after all this time it was a dodgey connection to the speed censor that plugs into the gearbox. cheers mark for sorting.
