I have just done a Transmission Diagnostic and it is throwing up the code for "Speed Sensor circuit shorted or disconnected. Is this because my speedo has packed up, and is it likely to cause any problems until speedo is sorted ? Thanks Guys.:bow: By the way, the Odometer is still reading o.k. :confused:

Thanks Jeff. I would prefer to just put another Jap speedo head in my binnacle because its very low mileage and has also had a brushed ally front fitted. Cant find one. Have resoldered mine but still no joy. Any ideas buddy ?

My speedo has packed up in my jap n/a. Odometer still working. Still nothing when chip removed (back to kmph). Reckon speedo head must be knackered ?? I have found a British instrument set that came out of a TT. Will that go straight in and read right without the chip ? do I still need the chip to delimit ? Thanks a lot .:helpsmilie:

Does anyone know of an easy way to bypass whatever stops the key from coming out unless box is in park. Sometimes mine does not release and can take me ages to get it to. Great idea when its working. F*****g frustrating when its not working. Always does it when I'm in a hurry to get out. Thanks guys. :thumbup1:

Hiya Graeme and Richard. The cops camera showed my back end, but blank grey box where it should have shown my speed. He quickly turned it off and then gave me a lecture for half an hour and made out he was being kind and only giving me a fixed penalty when he could have sent me straight to court for doing 94mph. I took the fixed pen. notice and then sent back the section that said I wanted it to be heard by a court. Nov 30th that was. Dec 22nd he wrote his statement and I got the summons on Sat.just gone.

Hi guys, can anyone give me a fairly close idea of redline speed in 2nd for an auto n/a ?? Trying to fight a speeding summons. Caught by motorway cop whose camera was defective so his word against mine.( said I was doing 94, but summons just says exceeding motorway limit) My box was playing up at the time and was stuck in second. Engine off and when restarted has been fine ever since. Thanks guys.

furthest away from master cylinder(on servo) first, which is rear passenger side, then other rear, then front pass. side, and finally front drivers side. always longest pipe to shortest in order. hope this helps. Cheers.:rockon:

Two front wheel studs stripped on my 1990 Jap 300zx n/a. Nissan have told my garage they need chassis no's etc. etc. Are they all that different, or will any Series 1 studs do the job.(or even any newer models) ? Not happy about running with 3 studs on front wheel. Need some a.s.a.p. and get the impression that cos its an import they are trying to make it as difficult as they can. :censored: Thanks

JBL GTO'S all round in mine when I got it. All are in original mounts and sound awesome. I work in a music shop and JBL are one of the top speakers in the world.

Had very similar noise. Turned out to be air con idler pulley. Took some finding. Worth checking anyway. HTH :)

By the way Jeff, will this also fix the heater(climate control) and the wing mirrors which all packed up at the same time ? Thanks again.

Spoke to a guy called Steve in Abergavenny, who has got a TT and had exactly the same fault about a year ago. It's an Auto Electrician job, some broken feed wire he thinks, a sod to find apparently,which probably also means a second mortgage. Anyway the rain held off and were back home. Hiya Graham, I've lost your number. Was going to bell you on the trip down. Thought you'd have a good idea what the problem is. No temp reading by the way, but your led's working fine. Left pod does nowt, mirror fold-in and adjuster does nowt either, and they're on the centre console. Thought there must be a common fuse cos surely more than one wont go at the same time ? Thank Murt buddy. Need to find out what and where the two fuses under the bonnet are. Nissan garage said to try resetting the ecu. Seems odd to me ???

Thanks znut, think I must have some other prob. There isnt one fuse that would cover everything thats wrong. What are the two under the bonnet for ? Had an oil change this morning, could they have disturbed something ?

Help needed guys. I've travelled down to South Wales for son in laws funeral and the left hand pod has lost all power. It lights up with side lights,but no wipers,air con,no temperature display, the mirrors wont fold in or adjust either. Must be fuse ??? but can't find out which one. Please help cos if it rains tomorrow I'm in the shit. Thanks guys.:bow:

Hi Murt, yeah 1990. A bit brain dead at the moment mate. No Andy, no new dials or needles out. Thinking it may be the sensor on the box Kieth. It's an auto by the way. :confused: Thanks for the help all. Just noticed my membership has run out. Must renew asap. :shock:
