No they will run from a head unit on its own just fine. I'm not a fan of amping mid range/tweeters anyway, 9 times out of ten you will end up with a worse sound than coming direct from the head unit.

If you can show me a factual believable quote other than that from some random guy from a scienceray.com thred that the magma chamber is 100 times bigger I'll say yes your right my mistake. Any beliveable sources all have it at ten times bigger at most. Whats 100 years ago it last blew got to do with anything lol? Its just not big enough to cause a nuclear winter, its blown 3 times (properly) in the last 1000 years and not once managed it. Yes it may spew enough ash to drop temps by a few degrees but nothing more.

Lots of links all over the place saying when Eyjafjallajökull blows Katla does also within a year, but Katla being 100 times larger than Eyjafjallajoekull and being in for a nuclear winter is complete tosh as its never managed it before.
