NZR - IT assistance req'd!!
Kinace don't think i'm weird here but is this anything to do with a Sarah from East Boro? Here is an email I received from her (I moonlight looking after their network and website etc) I quote "I have investigated further, the card is ok and is being recongnised in the slot "- Socket" not showing empty, but is not giving the name of the card. I viewed the Eject/Unplug Hardware and showed "Unknown device at location 0 on 02Micro 026832/6833 Cardbus controller", I ran the add new hardware program within Control Panel and discovered the Belkin Card needed to be added, it requested the driver, which I found on Belkin CDrom, but then asked for the windows 98 Second Edition Disk for some .dll files. We do not appear to have this disk only the original Windows 98 disk. Therefore this couldnot be completed. Since this the A:/ is not recognising any disks!!!! What is going on!!!! " Very spooky  and if not, can you let us know if you sort it so I can pass it on :D, I suggested checking the device manager for conflicts, but besides that I am lost, it all worked before

Bloody Hell Russ you live in Winton, that is where the car is at the moment, parked up looking f***ing unhealthy. I will email you the exact details. Winton is a good place as you have Simon at Park Garage who is pretty handy on the zed. Mine should be ready soon, just waiting for this guy's insurance company to sort out my claim and she will be back to her normal glory. I have actually fitted the 99 oem front since my rides pics which you can see here. http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/martinfa/newfront.jpg Catch ya soon Martin

Insurance...
Give Barclays or Barclaycard (numbers on AndyPs Site) a try, they have both insured me on a modified import, good price also.

Who would you BIG UP???
Yep Big up to Craig, and all the very helpful people on the forum. AndyP and Macca for unlimited help and advice. Kris for fitting my boost guage and jets. Senna for all the Cds he has sent me. Courtesy for cheap / fast parts and Simon @ Park Garge for the excellent fitting. Edited cos I forgot Duffman, he has always been a great help - he has been a little quiet lately, must be finishing off that zed. :D

???
Hi Gio, there is a select box at the bottom of the page called admin options which has various tools. I have been moving a few incorrectly placed threads into the correct areas and leaving a link in its place, there are also other options available. Warren, as agreed with the others when someone has requested action it has been taken (if appropriate). You guys also have to remember that we cannot moderate all the time, this is my first viewing of the site today (and checking home email) and it is now 12.40am. Hope this helps Cheers Martin

Thanks all, i could have guessed the results on this site really  , I wonder what the supra crew would vote lol, btw who voted for the focus :p Well I still think I am going to test drive the supra, I just want to see how it handles etc. Thanks Mac and Chris, some good points there, Chris hurry up and get some decent photos up I want to see her close up ;) God help me if I spend all this money and then my turbos pack up, but I guess this could happen with a poopra also. your thoughts please
Ok the time has come when i need to do something about my car situation. Some of you know some git pranged into her the other week and she is looking a mess again. I have problems with the gearbox (manual) which needs a re-build and all the suspension (shocks, springs and bushes) all need replacing. Beside these jobs there is really nothing else to moan about and she sounds as sweet as a nut. The car is a J-spec 1989 swb TT with just over 65k Had a full 60k service, HKS Induction Kit, AP Racing Paddle Clutch, Razo Turbo Timer, Kenwood ICE, Clear Side Repeaters, 99 OEM Front Bumper, Boost Upgrade to 13 PSI, Custom Built Pipes, Green Stuff Pads, Category 1 Security, Private Plate, Illuminated Rear 300zx Panel and Boost Gauge So I plan to either... Sell up and buy a supra (11k for M plate UK) or Deliver her to PPS and have a full makeover with wide-arse kit, spoiler, rear-bumper, skirts etc. in the micra flip paint (yep fcuk it and take the plunge at the deep end) Get the gearbox and suspension all sorted Get full leather interior Get some 18" bitches on her. This all at a cost of approx £6000  basically down the tubes, i.e. I will never get this money back. What do you guys think, of course I know at the end of the day it is my discussion but from an outsiders point of view (not at all baised being on this forum ;)). Cheers all Martin

Boost jets or boost controller?
James, I agree with the guys on here, boost controller and chip best way to go without a doubt, but I have a JWT (def speak to ChrisC on here) chip and 1.0mm boost jets fitted and have fitted an aftermarket boost guage and I am running at ~13psi. Now yes with a boost controller I could go to 15psi, but 13 is cool and if I do get spikes then I will be in the safety zone. Good luck whatever, but shop wisely and save the £s. Cheers Martin

Engine Problem
My problems have not been mechanical, in fact the engine etc has been great, the only other problems I have had have been wear and tear and once where I pranged her and now another twat (allowed cos he was ;)) has now gone into her. It has been one of the most reliable cars I have owned and hopefully will continue to be, if I can stop having to get her crash damaged repaired lol Cheers Martin

dilema
I have just had to buy a second car, used the zed for a daily runner for a year and a half, but more than the petrol costs she has been off the road too many times now and i need a car. When I get her back I will be keeping the daily runner (a pug 405 1.6 - cost £300) and using the zed for summer eves and weekends. Of course not forgetting track days. Cheers Martin

Spam from forum members ?
didn't get the spam (and on tt.net) but all I can say is slow as fcuk, javascript errors everywhere and missing links. think i'll stay here for a while lmao cheers Martin

I've had a **** year! Today was the icing on the cake!
Really gutted for you Tim, I hope what Andy is saying is right and it might not be so bad. I also know how we have all been thinking, My zed has been on the road for a total of 3 months this year and expence after expence. I too was also thinking of the MKIV and even went and had a look at a couple earlier this month but they are just soooooo ugly and the zed is just too stylish. When you see these zeds like maccas, yours, Jezs and now Chris etc you just know you have to stick with it. Good luck. Cheers Martin
