Iain, I'm afraid you cannot count me as beaten quite yet, my suspension and gearbox is all fooked and in need of repair. Once this is done lets have a re-run. My monies on the manual ;)

Superb thanks for the answers. I had a new ap racing paddle clutch put in not long ago and I havent been overly impressed with the engagement, the flywheel wasn't skimmed at the time even tho I asked for it to be done, the garage said it was in fine condition :rolleyes: Would a new flywheel be ok without a new clutch? i promise this is my last question (for now anyway) ;) Cheers Martin

no chance, I just don't have the space or tools (live in a flat). what parts am I gonna need and how much will it cost?

What is the advised route to go. My manual gearbox 3rd synchro is kaput. Would you recommend a total rebuild, what are the costs? Is it best to to replace all the synchros? or should I go for a 2nd hand unit. All advice appreciated. Cheers Martin

Fair point Iain ;) your car didn't half shift and sounded superb when you passed, loved the look from my rear view mirror, I bet there arn't many who don't move over. I won't quote the mph figures but we would have been locked up and the key thrown away if we had of been caught :D

Give Peter a ring he will do you a very good price.

Well what can I say, fantastic weekend. :D:D Many thanks to Macca who met me on the A1 where we had a blast up to Peters ;) me trailing cos my suspension is fooked and I was bouncing all over the place. I would have thrashed him otherwise :D:p:D lol We met Peter and Paul G and saw Pete's racing pug 205 with a rover 2.7 - superb doughnuts in the car park!!! Peter then dropped me and my mate off in Newcastle right outside the hotel – what a star. Had a curry and then hit the town meeting Pete and his bro, bloody hell that place is heaving, full of top totty. Went on that ship nightclub thing - all great :D Journey back was a bit of a disaster as we missed the flight check-in by 10 mins and Ryanair wouldn't have a bean of it, so had to stay another night in Glasgow (Preswick) and caught the flight home tonight, expect work won’t be happy but not a lot we could do. Definitely looking forward to doing it all in reverse in six weeks time. Finally decided not to go for the micra flip, it was too dull even tho the purple was superb. Probably gonna go for a blue metallic. If anyone else is gonna go to Peter's from some distance def recommend the night out, everyone we met was very friendly. Cheers Martin

Never had any major mechanical problems except worn out parts - clutch etc My biggest problem has been vadalism and people crashing into it (not forgetting one prang I had myself) If I had had engine trouble on top of the above it would have been long gone by now.

Yep def a good idea, I would be happy to do any html etc, but i wouldn't trust myself doing a write up - blown up engine anyone? lol

yeah the p800 is a quality bit of kit, shame it was on loan from work. If you need any OTA configuration settings pm me and I will give you a site url and username / password to enable you to easily set up internet, mms, email etc
