  1. i got the auto as that was the only tranny going at the time. great box but it broke on me so i converted it. am having fun with the manual box but still miss the old automatic in a way.
  2. aye it deffo sounds like a hard disk problem - maybe some sectors have gone bad (quite rare tho - but hence the CHKDSK as David suggested). Has your mate installed anything recently (s/ware)?

  6. definately a nice idea and pulled off well - just need to work on the design a bit more
  7. hi Rob. what greg has outlined above demonstrates very good value (or power ;) ) per £. however once you've reached that stage (and running about 360-380bhp at the fly) you'll probably need to fork out a good 2.5k+ for uprated turbos and intercoolers. from then on you're flying again (almost literally :D ) - just dial in higher boost from the controller you've already got.

  9. dont forget that the JDM has some bonus features over the UK: (generally) less rust than the UK counterpart, lovely Z badge instead of Nissan cheeseburger, folding mirrors. I think all in all the pro's and cons outweigh eachother and make the UK and JDM equals :bow:

  12. im glad to say ive not been in this position (yet :eek: ). sounds nasty mate. truth is i had the Z before i met my missus and she respects the car (and likes it too - thank god!) But i always try to keep a balance between spending time and cash on the Z and on the missus. Ps. ditch her :D
  13. always best to spend the money for a decent one - especially from a trader on here. i've been lured into spending pennies on so-called 300ZX mods off eBay and they've both turned out to be a bunch of crap. :mad:

  18. i'd prob go for either Blitz or Apexi. Ive got the Apexi and its damn good. Ultima looks a bit, err, insignificant! Pants aren't too bad either.

  20. welcome to the club Dave. dont worry about the standard gauge if youve got an aftermarket one. its best to have an aftermarket boost gauge too! - especially if your Z has had its boost upped.
  21. there's a Super GT which looks like the Z at first glance but turns out not to be. Not seen the Euros yet tho.
