Why OH Why Do We Do It ?
i know the feeling :( im creeping ever-so-slightly more into debt cos of my car. just forked out £1k on brand new alloys cos a problem with steering had worn the old'uns out. before that i forked out £1.5k on a manual conversion cos my autobox knackered. before that i forked out £900 on oil leaks, HICAS problem and suspension. why do i keep doing it???? cos it's a Z.

Power!!!
if the power light flashes at you, i believe it could be relaying a problem. mine flashed like mad when i had a hole in my rad and the car overheated! as craig says, it usually means youre booting it

Car taxing over the Internet
Anyone tried taxing their car at http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehiclelicence ? I was tempted today but I felt happier handing over my documents at a post office. They've got quite a good page where you can enter your reg number and it'll tell you all (hmm...) the info they've got on your car. Glad to say it doesnt include address etc.

MOT failure - only a bit tho
true - so I've got both sorted! :D Just had some brand new 18s thrown on with Avon ZZ3s 225 front and 265 rear - cost me a chuffin packet!!!! Took a look at the old tyres when they were off and fook me there was a great bulge in the o/s rear one and a nail in the n/s rear (which I aquired recently  ). Car looks and drives beautiful now  Oh yeah, the bill...

MOT failure - only a bit tho
Well for the last 20 minutes Ive been sitting, pale-faced, like a turkey at Christmas, while two burly mechanics fingered my precious bits. Only failed on steering tho (which has also lead to two worn tyres) - I cant believe it sailed through everything else. Excuse to get new alloys methinks

Heeeelp! think somethin reaaly bads just happened
hi mate. like everyone says i hope its not a head gasket. i had a similar problem a few months ago and it turned out to be losing water through a small fracture in the bottom of the rad, although the water seemed to be pi$$ing out as if there was a great hole in it. best of luck with your Z.

Boost Guage
Hi Steve. First off: a decent induction kit (like yer Blitz), decent zorst, boost controller and ECU are the first modding steps to take and are relatively cheap. Definately definately definately get an aftermarket boost gauge to go with the controller (some controllers show boost level too but its nice to have a separate dial - espesh in a triple A-pillar pod accompanied by water temp (the stock gauge, like boost, is inaccurate), and oil temp or pressure. You don't HAVE to get a boost controller just cos youre uprating your chip, although the other way around is true - standard chip might make the engine run too lean when accompanied with controller + higher levels of boost.
