you dont need to do that mate, every race you take part in is classed as a 'day', and the 2nd hand shops are updated every few days... i got to 85% before i started cheating with the Action Replay Max (press a button and the opponents go veering off the track, mwuhahahaha). the fun had gone out of it cos what was left was too difficult.
