sorted this sonofabitch out finally. decided to get a couple of simple jobs out of the way - fitted my throttle cover (never had one even tho ive had the Z for 3 years!) - thanks Kirbz. tried to stop the fan shroud from catching on the fan (slightly loose screws into rad at top caused very bottom of shroud to stick out slightly and lightly knock on the fan blades) and managed to get my sun-visor-held A-pillar to stay PUT :duffer: after experimenting with shoving a soft rubber block up there and screwing into it - various types of bolt which i hoped to insert into the square hole at an angle but which would not come out when flat-on etc. just as i was giving up, there it was at the bottom of the odds-n-sods box, a plastic grub clip with screw. hammered the clip through the hole, screwed the pod to it, and its as solid as So Solid Cruuuuu :dance: at last, i can lower my sun visor without fear of the pod, gauge and wiring all falling into my lap!

mebbe we should have our own patch of lawn - we hogged the spotlight last month and there wasn't even as many as this month :)

ok here we go: 1) Second 2) First 3) 4100 ;) 4) Mary 5) walks into the counter!

i had a boost controller installed at the same time my decat pipes went in so its difficult to tell. one year later and still no blue smoke (touch wood - although im getting plenty of white smoke :( ). engine sounds gruffer mid-way up the rev range. ;) good luck mate. fingers crossed for ya.

when you say dead, is it stuck to the left or stuck in the middle?

we've had this one before. different Z's seem to prefer different angles of entry. what?

sounds great. im free on that Thursday but im not 100% available. will try and finalise later on. there's a great annual charity day on at Brunters on Aug 20th that some members from here are going to.

recirc valves. these are the ones you remove/block off when you fit atmospheric dump valves. not sure about a 200 but on a Z you dont want them to sound of anything! they go HONK when theyre not working properly.

do you mean wastegates or recircs?

doesnt the Z only boost when in gear? have you tried giving it a good rag then letting off the gas pedal? sorry if it sounds a stupid question.
