always put mine on. i see mercs etc. in car parks for long periods of time with their roofs down. cant understand how theyd risk it! not just stealing the car, but leaning over and cracking open the glove compt, or ripping a seat, or throwing something unpleasant inside.

first port of call would be radiator. make sure no hoses have cracked, or that the radiator itself hasnt fractured. check the rad hose at the front of the bonnet first (before jacking her up and fiddling about beneath). ive had a fractured radiator before and opted to have it rebuilt. are there any signs of water leakage on the driveway?
