yeah you dont really need any piping. aftermarket filters by themselves will prob only add about 5bhp, but they become far more effective when you also upgrade your exhaust and prob when you up your boost as well.

ive had a couple of bad dreams where my Z's been broken into/trashed. it feels so good when you wake up and realise it was just a dream. both times i went and checked tho ;)

the filter is literally the filter unit - usually conical in shape. an 'induction kit' is the filter plus air ducting that scoops air from the front bumper somewhere and faces it into the bumper. basically read as +one fifth bhp :smw:

ive had an Apexi on for about 2 years and not had any problems with it - even when its raining and i have a vented headlight panel. just go ahead and buy one mate and ditch that stupid box! as for fitting its a piece of cake - just rip out the old box and bolt on the cone filter. when purchasing make sure you dont go for a 'universal' one - get a 300ZX-specific one like from traders on here.

im force-teaching myself SQL server but i cant even get started cos i dont seem to have a server :confused: if i create a blank .UDL file, then go to it's properties, then connections tab, then try to click on "select or enter a server name", the system stops for a few seconds then i get the error message: "Error enumerating data servers. Enumerator reports: 'unspecified error'." i need to be able to connect to a server before i can do anything else :headvswal :headvswal ive got Windows XP Home edition with SP2. i thought that basic data access came with it!

sorry to hear youre having a bad time. i hope your neck is ok. and as for worrying about sickies and being responsible for something - say a great big b*ll*cks to that - if youve had an accident and are feeling unwell then your immediate boss (whoever that is) is then responsible for finding a replacement. in the 11 years of working in the job im desperately trying to get out of ive only had a handful of sick days off (single figures) and its not been noticed/appreciated at all. in fact you become EXPECTED to drag yourself in no matter what. make sure its someone else's problem and look after yourself for once.

some nice pics there mate. it looks like some of the boost piping has been replaced (the thin blue/purple pipes in the engine bay), although i dont like the look of the blue pipe going so close to the rad fan and radiator piping!

the usual upgrade is to get the UK-spec autobox cooler. car looks good from the pics but there are plenty of things that need checking first - theres a buyer's guide on here somewhere. take it out for a good drive first!
