blimey! :( im sorry you feel that way Dave. the event is still 4+ months away and im sure there are still details to be set in stone. if the majority vote for a slower speed then hopefully it will be acted upon. i know youre not going to reply but this fantastic event is being made out to be some kind of demolition derby. :(

please bear in mind Dave and everyone voting on the poll that this speed is once down one straight. the speed around the rest of the track is around 60mph and less where necessary, as explained in the 'main thread'.

ok guys i had the pleasure of speaking to Steve earlier this evening to discuss in more detail what the laps would be like. here are some facts which im sure everyone (including myself) will be a lot happier with. the parade will be doing three laps behind an official pace car. for most of the track we will be doing about 60-ish, obviously slower depending on tight corners, etc. Apparently we will only be tackling the straight once at roughly 100mph, the other times will be slower (warm-up/cooldown). We will be driving two-astride throughout. If anyone has any other questions or concerns then Steve would be more than happy to talk to you - I believe his phone number is at the bottom of the submission sheet.

i agree - take the engine out and you've taken the car away. although if thats what you want to do then go for it! from that clip, it sounds awesome when being revved, but when idling the exhaust loses the V6 rumble :(

TBH i'd be a little concerned at reaching 100mph in a large group. imagine everyone trying to keep in 'line' (or whatever formation it will be in). id have thought 60 tops IMO. leave the high-speed stuff to those that want the individual track time. the last thing we want is people backing out because of speed concerns, when the one thing we are trying to achieve is as many Zs on track at the same time as possible.
