they restrict the boost thats on its way to the wastegates by literally making the opening narrower, therefore increasing boost levels. they are simple mig welding tips of various sizes (0.8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm are the common ones) which can be bought for peanuts and installed fairly easily. the only real problem with them is that they are not controlling the boost like an EBC does - the w/gates are there to relieve pressure and by putting jets in the way youre making it harder for the excess boost to leave (although in a way thats the whole point). boost levels can spike momentarily above normal safe levels. as a general rule of thumb as long as yer engine's ok then you should be fine with 1mm jets. just make sure you have an aftermarket boost gauge on prominent display somewhere!

really sorry to hear that mate. ive only been in the situation once where i lost someone i really loved and for weeks even months afterwards it feels so empty and i just felt that there was no-one in the world who could be as good as them. but there is always someone just as good if not better out there somewhere, i've learned that myself. if its not too difficult try and stay friends if you can, at least for the kid's sake. and dont apologise about posting - we're much more than just a car club :) chin up mate.

yeah i was just thinking there may be an option to always default your home page to msn. its an attempt to avoid spam websites setting your homepage to them. Maxthon, the browser i use, has such a setting
