alloys and offsets?
What boffin decided the +offset will be to the inside of the flange and not to the normal brain pattern logic of working from the flange and adding a spacer would make it the wheel centre line +the offset being +to the outside, plus spacer width making it all measured from the flange to the wing making it simpler to measure the widths required so the tyres are inside the wing, would this not be more logical??? although I am only simple!!!!

wheel offset
Mine is a import so has 225s all round anyway, but if they are et35 I think spacers are a must although mine are not dishes so they probably won't be as bad as the ones in your pic,so if the centres are OK the search is on for some spacers methinks.

wheel offset
I pick them up on Sat. so I'll see how they fit, they were fitted to a Subaru SVX so I think they were a bit wide for that,Works 5 spoke they look like some TSW I had on a mk111 supra so a bit retro compared to the sharp edged types that are made now, they have 235 40 17 tyres so they might look a bit small with standard ride height.

Indicator not working
I have just fixed mine with the same problem of the earth wire where it goes to the bulbholder,I don't know of it supposed to have a thin layer of solder holding it to the bulbholder, but I cleaned the corrosion up and applied some silicon paste and it is now OK

M4 Near Swansea Silver Zed on Low Loader
yes a 96LWB NA standard as you can get I think! I don't know what the standard trim is for a 96na but this has leather seats with lookalike suede fabric, seat belts on the pillar,it is a jap import,so I havn't any spec sheet or sales brochure to give me a clue.
-
Model differences
I thought so,our cars have been interchanged with the different types and specs nobody knows what is fitted as standard anymore.

ABS Removal
If you look at the online manual it shows both installations,it looks like a major job to do it properly with a new master cyl.and rerouted pipes and removing electrics,OK if you have the time.

insurance
Adrian Flux was the one I went with after I got fed up searching,£385 for me comp.250excess zero no claims as it's on the daily ride 2000miles i am an OAP clean license and no claims.I tried to argue with the others that they are all made in Japan to the same spec apart from fog lights but they wouldn't listen just rip you off for having a import badge fairlady.

insurance
I am looking to insure my 96 fairlady,Heritage at Norton won't touch it Admiral although cheapest from a list from quotezone was over £500 the dearest was a rediculous £1900 it is with Adrian Flux from the previous owner who said they are reasonable so I am going to try them and sky to get a good deal.

Mercedes A-Class
Although my wife loves her A160 semi-auto to bits and have had none of the problems mentioned apart from the broken suspension strut it would not be my 1st choice or even my 10th a golf or even a skoda is a better choice.

Mercedes A-Class
Hi my wife has one a A160 and loves it,I don't the ride is hard and low to the ground so you have to watch out for speed bumps, the front suspension leg spring broke along with the spring seat so had to buy a complete lot,not expensive though, apart from that it has been very reliable and cheap to run although it is a 1600cc so no cheap tax and it's a semi auto which so far is faultless and great for town driving unlike the golf gti which is so stiff it ruins your knee joints after a feww hundred pumps.I don't know why they decided to fit low profile tyres either I am thinking of changing to a more sensible type to counter the hard suspension. The seats are all removable which is handy and changes it into a van, they are heavy though. Thats the view from me after 5years ownership.

engine wiring loom?
Sorry just found the cable in the box, damaged though anyone got a spare? Cheers
-
engine wiring loom?
Does anyone connect the knock sensor on the block back up again ? or do you cut the wire and extend it from the plug so you can connect it to the loom when the engine is back in the car cos it doesn't seem possible to connect it back up with the manifold on.
