  1. I have mate - can't find anything on threre! :( CheerZ, Vern
  2. Where is the best/cheapest place to get Conzult software and cable from? I'm looking at getting some kind of software to 'talk to' the zed and Conzult looks the better option over Datascan feature wise. I've been looking at getting it from blazt.biz and it comes to £189.94 for full Conzult software, the cable and the shipping. Before I press the purchase button - is there anywhere better/cheaper to get it from and more importantly - for the people that have already bought it: is it really worth £189.94 or shall I just stick to the little light on the ECU  CheerZ, Vern
  3. Cheerz Darrell. Yeah I've seen the ones on Z Centre's website but I'm just a bit concerned that if I bought that it might not fit properly because I haven't got a clue who makes the rear section that is on the car at the moment and the the rear section on the car might not be compatible with a Z Centre midsection if it's a different length or the bends are at different angles etc. I can't find a makers name anywhere on the one that is on the car :( CheerZ, Vern
  4. Djtomo, any chance of sending me the details of where you got this exhaust from originally and how much it set you back? I need a mid-section for my zed but depending on how much a cat back system would cost I'd consider replacing the lot cat back. What's the best option for a SWB zed considering I'm not really looking for something loud. Want it to be nice and quiet when cruising but give a nice purr when you give it some ;) What mods did you have to do to get the system to fit? Cheerz, Vern

  6. I would say you have an air leak :) Get a boost leak test done. CheerZ, Vern
  7. Exactly what I intend to do - hopefully will get round to this tomorrow along with investigating which parts of the exhaust I need to replace :( CheerZ, Vern
  8. I will do. It's just having the time and thinking of the best things to make the boost leak tester out of - hopefully without having to buy anything :p CheerZ, Vern
  9. Hmmmmm. Will have another think :) CheerZ, Vern
  10. Mine does this - I'm sure mine's because of my air leak. You sorted any air leaks on yours now? Will try do a video of my zed idling tomorrow for you to see if yours does the same :) Cheers, Vern
  11. Awesome! My girlfriend lives in seabridge! Just this minute got back from there! Yeah that would be brill mate if we can find a time when we are both free! :) Cheers, Vern
  12. Cheers hellraiser. Lol yes Athene I probably should! There should be some pics up in the rides section...I think. I can see them anyway lol :D Oh and there's always the sig pic too!! Cheers, Vern
  13. Lol at the number of replies!!! First of all: Lol would not fookin dream of it! Have no intention of ruining the car!!! Yeah I've read good reviews about Nippon Auto before. Will perhaps send him an email to ask about prices. I most certainly do not! I have bought the zed because I love the cars and want to be in the community of zed owners. Hoping to end up with a car I can take to shows and win competitions with etc. I live in Clayton. What brings you up here all the way from London lol? Feel sorry for you if you've come up in the zed - all that way with the zeds drinking habit lol. LOL now there's a good idea :D I bought mine when I was 16 :p Lol not really interested in increasing power until I've driven her a bit - I think I'll wait till the turbo's give up and I'm forced to do some mods till I start upping the power. Intend to focus on improving the handling of the car so will be looking perhaps into adjustable suspension and a big brake kit. HICAS remover though - why? Surely this should improve the handling of the car? And to put all your minds at rest - I will not be driving it like a prick :) I am proud of the car and have no intention of driving it beyond it's/my limits and smashing it up. Cheers for all the replies and the welcomes to the forum, Vern
  14. Yeah completely standard as far as I know. I'm not particularly interested in the performance side of things at the moment - I just want to try and get the car looking good and being as reliable as a zed can get. I know that it probably won't be long after the car is back on the road that the turbo seals will go (it has around 80k miles on originals) so will obviously upgrade while they are off. May consider a new exhaust now though actually as the collector box in the midsection is completely fooked so might be worth getting a cat back system (don't wanna push my original turbo seals by removing the cats at this stage) depending on what the rear section of the exhaust is like. Suspension wise - it's actually not standard as it's got some yellow stuff on it lol. Think it might be Koni sport. I agree with you - I'm definately not interested in having the rock hard ride and I've also got to keep in mind that there are lots of speed bumps in my area and if I go much lower than the Koni sport that's on - I won't get it up the dropped kerb into the drive without scraping the front. May consider the R33 callipers idea though! Cheers for the reply Quavey! Cheers, Vern
  15. Lol! I wouldn't have if I was actually using the zed at the moment. Like I say it's off the road at the moment so I can invest in some recommended mods if I could find that list of things that people recommend upgrading. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've tried using the search but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Regards, James
  16. Lol. I do this and that. I have a complete P.A. system and some disco lights so I do disco's now and again and I work in local theatres doing technical (sound, lights and set). I'm looking starting up my own business in photography/video and for the time being I cover various jobs at the local Tesco whilst also attending college full time. Pretty busy lifestyle but having a rest during the college holidays. Lol. Somebody I know in a worse boat than me though - £7k for a 17 yr old on TPFT for a fiesta although admittedly he has had two crashes alread! lol! Another friend of mine pays £4k to insure his Astra van (he says it's actually less than a normal astra estate because it only has two seats ) and that's on a provisional license!!! Cheers, Vern
  17. Normally so would I - couldn't help it :D Cheers, Vern
  18. LOL very very expensive. Just under £5k for a full year :) lol. Looking into being put on a trader's policy atm. I have well and truly caught the z bug so I am prepared to/stupid enough to pay £5k but if I did this i'd probably end up having a year on the road then 6 months of the road to save the funds again lol. Like I say the car needs some work done on it before it can actually be driven anyway so I'm using my Ninja at the moment - looking in to some of the best mods to do while it's off the road. No power gain mods - more like poly bushes all round, aftermarket guages (oil pressure, temp, boost guage), leather retrim, indiglo dials, handbrake and gearlever gaiters, gearknob, some new rear speakers, exhaust mid section, new engine bay wiring loom, s2 PTU - just to list some of the things I've thought about lol. I thought I'd seen a list on the forum somewhere of recommended mods but can't seem to find it. Is there one on here? Cheers, Vern
  19. Soon to be fully insured and on the road. Need to do some work on the zed first due to it not passing an MOT. Cheers, Vern
  20. I did do but have since cancelled whilst I "tart it up" a bit :) Cheers, Vern
  21. At 17 years old, am I the youngest zed owner on the forum - or possibly even in the world? lol! Cheers, Vern
  22. I myself found Adrian Flux to be completely useless for me. They state on their website to see young drivers differently - their view is that young drivers take special care of their cars and so enables them to offer cheaper quotes. This appears to be a blatent lie in my case anyway as they would not insure me at all. They then state that "What's more, when you call us, you won't get a clueless computer monkey in a Calcutta call centre. You'll be speaking to a knowledgable car enthusiast, fully clued up on all the latest gear and mods." which again was mostly a lie in my case because after being in the queue to talk to an advisor for 20 minutes (when I eventually got through I appeared to be talking to a "clueless computer monkey"), giving him all my details etc I was then forwarded to a call centre and then to another call centre who then, forwarded me back to Adrian Flux. The only part of their statement that was true was that the call centre was not in Calcutta :) To be fair to them, I get the above a lot when trying to find insurance because I'm 17 years old with a TT Z32 but this was my experience of them. Cheers, Vern
  23. Sound like yours has the exact same symptoms as mine and I know mine has an air leak somewhere cause I can hear it whistling when you apply throttle :) Vern
  24. Glad to hear you're back on the road chaZ. I got mine running again by simply buying a replacement PTU but my car had an issue where it kept blowing PTUs. I have assumed this to be down to high resistance wiring in the loom because after stripping the loom back and reducing the length of wire to and from the PTU it has not blown another PTU (yet...fingers crossed). I must get round to actually replacing the wiring loom.... :D Cheers, Vern
  25. Dodgy wiring loom :) simple as that in the end lol.
