  1. I will check all the injectors etc, how can i test the fuel pump pressure?
  2. I will be out in the freezing cold fixing the POS car
  3. Yes i can hear the fuel pump prime, i will mark the cas and everything. I just don't understand why after almost 9 months of having the car it starts playing up now. What the hell have i done to deserve it! Is there anything else that could cause this problem? the PTU is S2.
  4. Guess who has broken down again miles away from home. This time i was going around a corner and the car started by all means bunny hopping before completely losing all power and dying. I tried starting the car and it refused. So i went and played with a few connectors and it started again and i drove it to my friends house. Came back out later and it fires up fine then just completely dies. Then i cant get it started at all. In the end i left the car at my friends house and i got a lift home.. I am nearing the end of this car more and more.. Old zed has very kindly offered to come around tomorrow and try another CAS on my car to see if its that playing up. I can only really put it down to two major things.. ECU or CAS. Fuel pump is working fine, spark plugs are fine, coil packs are fine, no codes from ECU. Any other ideas on what it could be? Also does anyone have a manual ECU im putting the car back to standard i dont care if i only have 7psi at the tubs.

  14. The green wire is just like the turn on button for your computer. All you are doing is making a connection between the ground and it which makes the power supply turn on. Get a voltage tester on the molex connectors and make sure the right amount of current is running. Normally if your power supply is up and running than its not that which has blown!! Try smelling around for burnt / broken off resisters etc. Also take your CPU graphics card and ram all out and just connect the front panel up or use a screw driver along the connectors and connect the power supply to the motherboard. If your motherboard is working and turning on then you will hear beep codes as long as your speaker is linked up! Do one bit at a time and you will find out what has blown! Doing this will be easier if any issues have in the future with the same components! Need any more help just post here or pm me
  15. Happy Birthday!!!!!
  16. Me too, its very annoying!!! Btw happy birthday lisa!
  17. The car has been acting up recently and i keep coming across this one.. I take the car not too far, but to about 4500 and the car just completely stops accelerating and i have to change gear... Am i guessing im getting fuel cut?? First gear its fine, second gear its fine, 3rd, 4th and 5th are getting to a certain RPM and completely stopping, the car WILL NOT rev any more.. tonight i took the nose panel off and gave the MAF connector a bit of a wiggle (very nice of the nose panel bolts thread to completely break as in away from home!! My friend lucky had spares!) and on the way home i took the car to at least 6K rpm and it had no fuel cut?!?!? I haven't drove it since then so i cant say if the problem is still there. Any other ideas of what it might be? Car is ran on 97 - 99ron S2 PTU Been acting up when the weather is extremely cold, never use to have this problem!
  18. Well done mate that looks brill!

    Happy birthday guys!
  20. Wierd thing is, if you have the LED status light on your motherboard than the power supply is giving current to the board... im guessing motherboard or cpu... Easy thing to do is take your power supply out and get a bit of metal and connect the green and one of the black wires together, if it turns on then its not your power supply! It is normally green on most power supplies but not all of them... You will notice that the green wire or what ever colour is it, is located next to black wires both sides, btw the wires i am on about are on the 24pin big beast of a cable....
