Yes its a dedicated line straight from the battery with an inline fuse about 20cm away from battery. like i sed i re-earthed last night and will try it later on. Cheers for that Chopper, i just needed confirmation that it was more than likely a bad earth. Cheers Dan.

Just a quick question. Could a bad earth cause my battery to become NEARLY flat? IE the car would only just start. I ask because i put in a 12inch sub off an amp in on wednesday, the car ran fine on thursday and i left it at that and went away for the weekend. Come back on sunday to find that the car will only just start and the sub is only just working, it is very quiet. I play around with the gains etc but nothing helps. I get round the corner and the car just dies, start it up agen and it dies another 100 years down the road. So i take the inline fuse and and dissconnect the live from the amp and the car runs fine. I spoke to a friend who sed a bad earth could have caused this. So i have re-earthed and will be going out for a hard drive later. Amp is a Kenwood KAC-823 (1996 i think) along with 12inch Competition kenwood sub. Bridged at 2 ohm is giving 150RMS. Amp has a 25amp fuse in it. Im not sure about the inline 1 but all these have worked fine in a Micra and a 100nx. Cheers guys Dan. Cheers Dan.

There are after market twin tubby addons, i think Greddy do one, Middlehurst Nissan have a supercharged 350, and they might also have a twin tubby one (dont hold me to that though). There are rumours of a twin tub 350 comeing out a year after the convertable which is March 2005 IIRC. Dan.

These bloody vans are a pain in the arse. I was on the M6 and had just come out of roadworks that were 50 and so everybody sped up naturally, cruising along at about 80 in the pretty much empty fast lane and i notice an unmarked green van parked up on the bridge ahead, then it clicks that the doors open and bugger im nicked at 84, the thing that really pisses me off is the fact that the van was green with a yellow stripe with SECURITY written on the side and the little old farts in micras in the slow lane doin 30 holding everybody up dont even get looked at. When i say I i mean my dad, i was just in the car.lol Rant over.
