so sorry i missed you at the show gary, i heard you came by the stand twice, there was just so much to see we seemed to be walking around all day. the dark grey z is a 260 and it is a very very nice car, i drove the yellow 240z to the show for andrew, i will put up pics of his datsun and z collection.

i would have not made the meet either on sun. took the z for a spin today went to the hosp to see mother, called to my daughter just for a minute, went to reverse NOTHING no clutch pedal, daughters partner is a mechanic he had a quick look underneath pi55ing out fluid wont know till tomorrow what it is bust clutch line or he said something about a slave cylinder

so glad you and your son are ok gary, thats the most important thing, but gutted about the car, yes quinn direct are notorious for delaying a pay out on claims, i would get an estimate from a good body shop for the repair of the damage and then go talk to the driver and his mother and convince them of the benefits of settling the claim themselves , like he will keep his ncb, and no personal injury claims, etc plus you wont have a qd accesesor trying to say your car is not worth repairing, but get the cash quickly. if that fails you will have to go the other route. i know if it was one of my kids i would be telling them how lucky they were to meet such a nice person, even gave him tea, but as i always think it could be one of my kids some day in that situation

afaik its some kind of safety thingy with the neck of the tank, you just put the pump nozzle in a little bit, eg not as far as with a normal car and its fine.
