Got my hands on some 997 porsche brembos for next to nothing LOOK
Looking good mate. Can I ask what size & offset wheels your running. I'm planning on using Porsche GT3 6 pot calipers & 350mm disc, just woundering about clearance. Cheers Stu

uh oh.. wheels stick out the arches, what to do?
Did anybody get any closer to finding out what rear spoiler this is. I've tried but can't find anything close.

I think this is the same car as the sexy on in FunkySi's post. I just want to make it clear at this point that I am in no way stalking this car (yet). The guy says that the wheels in these pics are Volk racing CE28s 18x10.5 ET +18 with 285/30 tyres all round. I need that kind of wheel fitment in my life. Still can't find out what that spoiler is though. Stu

They're Volk racing TE37 or you could use Rota grid drift's.

That car gives me a tingly feeling in my gentlemens area. Anybody got any more info in it, mainly width & offset of the wheels. Also is that a standard 99 spec front bumper. Stu

Will driftworks rear traction arms fit a zed?
SB did you use the arms DW list for the S13. I've compared my TT & my S13 arms & they look the same but was lust looking to confirm if I was right. Cheers Stu

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
Going to rebuild it with a PPG dog gear set & uprated mainshaft.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
I'm using a S13 heater box, the bit the matrix sits in & controls the airflow, just to simplfy things. I bought a noisey TT gearbox from you last year, run low on oil & done one of the bearings in. I've put a RB bellhousing on it & bolted it to the back of the RB30.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
Probably one of the few 300's that is working at the moment then:D:D:D:D. It quite a big project, & I'm getting married in July, so funds dictate the speed that I go at.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
It's going to while before she's finished,. Hopeing to have plenty of go in her when she's done, so will be worth the wait.

Gutting the Interior (saving weight)
Ohh but I do have a engine:tongue: j1mmytt - I can pick each end of the shell up on my own now. Legrath - yep engine swap. RB30 on your noisey TT gearbox. Since I took those photo's I've started to put some stuff back into her. It's got a heater box now, modded S13 200sx heater box with a Z32 heater motor & the A/C box removed. but there's still more to come out, most of the boot floor is going to make way for a fuel cell.

Lighter panels
Does nobodt do carboin or GRP panels for the 2+2, the only parts I've found ,other than front wings, are all for the SWB models. I would'nt mind a rear hatch & a pair of doors for my 2+2.

Steering racks
Cheers for the info, that makes getting a rack alot easier. Rich666 - I'm not needing a rack till after xmas now. I might be in touch then.

Steering racks
Hi all Whats the differance between the front steering racks on HICAS & non-HICAS cars? I read somewhere that on the S13 the HICAS rack has a quicker ratio than the non-HICAS rack, is this the same on the Z32? Also where can I get a new rack from all the internet places I've tried only list one rack for all the Z32. Cheers Stu

N/A rear diff on a TT
Sorry to hijack, but would a TT diff fit in a N/A subframe? I'm thinking of putting a N/A subframe on my TT so I can do away with the HICAS completely.

Front suspension
Can anyone tell me if the Z32 & R32 front suspension are the same? I'm looking around at adjustable suspension arms for my project & some places list some of the front suspension arms for the Z32 & R32 as the same but others list then as different. Everyone list the camber arms as the same. Thanks Stu

front steering gator
Very easy to do. The way I do them is:- Remove the wheel. Remove the ball joint from the hub end. Undo any clips holding the gator to the steering rack. Pull back the gator. Unscrew the track rod from the rack. Fit new gator to track rod. Screw the rod back into the steering rack, using some thread lock. Refit the clips/cable tie. Refit the ball joint to the hub. I've not done one on a Z before but all cars are pretty much the same.

RB engine to Z gearbox?
I've just built a VG/RB hybrid gearbox for my project, only took about 45mins to strip the box & get the RB bell housing on. As for the other things:- The RB box is longer than the VG box so the gear lever will prob sit further back. The mount on the VG box will prob be different to to the RB box, the mount on the VG box is the same as the mount on my spare S13 CA box. The crossmember will further back to. I'm not sure on the prop side of things, I'm going to using a shortened one peice Z32 prop. The other thing you have to do is mod the front plate in the gear box. The ball for the clutch release bearing arm needs moving, if you use the Z front plate, just drill & tap the hole other hole cast into the plate.

Manual gearbox bhp limits
Witch is the better box then? I'd say it'd be the TT box, stronger cause of the extra HP.
-
Manual gearbox bhp limits
Are the N/A & TT gaerboxes the same?

Manual gearbox bhp limits
Thanks for the replys. I've been looking at the PPG gearsets, the noise is'nt going to bother me alot as the car is going to be stripped out anyway. Does anyone now where the weak link is in the boxes, i.e do the snycros go first or do the teeth strip off?
