  2. I think all them registry fix programs are dangerous, all malicious malware/spyware whatever you call it. Anyways murts your man for this kinda thing.
  3. Ive never had anyone else report the same issue i had but when on the sandwich plate the temp would fluctuate under load, strange, but im sure it was to do with it being under pressure, anyway i think on the sump is more ideal as the sender is always submerged in oil. dont you think?
  4. Legrath thats pretty similar to what i posted lol. A sandwich plate is good for oil pressure but not for oil temp as the oil swooshes past the sender to quickly to send a steady ready, on throttle the oil temp reading just disappears, this is what happened to me anyway. Id recommend having one on the sump so you have a constant oil sump temp reading. A place where the oil is under less pressure is best, ideally after the oil cooler so you can see how efficient its cooling. Anyway its cheaper/tidier and less hassle to fit what i mentioned above. It also retains the stock oil pressure sender location which was good enough for nissan so good enough for me ;)
  5. Have you got all the senders/sensors to fit the gauges? You will also need a hardpipe water adapter to fit the water temp sender. This goes in between the top rad pipe which you can can to adapt. You will have to check sizes, top of my head i think its 34 or 36mm. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/38mm-PIPE-ADAPTER-WATER-TEMP-TEMPERATURE-GAUGE-SENSOR_W0QQitemZ350157264274QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item350157264274&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 You will also need an adapter to fit the oil temp sender which you can fit on the sump plug with somthing like this. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=ROAD&pcode=GLOFSPM14 obviosuly youl have to check thread sizes, ring them they will know. For oil pressure gauge you can fit this kinda T piece adapter where you can still have the oem sender fitted and the new sender, it screws into the original oil pressure sender location. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=ROAD&pcode=LMA074 Dont forget to ring and ask before buying these bits, demon and tweeks know the thred sizes you will need for the sump plug and oil pressure senders, but for the water adapter, lets hope someone passes by to help.
  6. yeah thats the one, u just need a gauge now.
  7. but did ya check that the little rubber o rings are present very easy for these to drop into the plenum or eleswhere.
  8. u defo got the correct plugs in there? what one are they?
  9. just buy a single braided line and be done.
  10. Should change the oil more often espeically on a turbo car i recon. will do mine every 3000.
  11. most probably. Follow the wire see where it goes.
  12. it wont be a presure sender it will be a temp sender, you can messure pressure from that point. You have any aftermarket gauges? If not then you can attach a temp sender and hook up a gauge ;) or has it already got the sender?

  17. I went through a pug 106 stage when i first started driving, first i bought a 106 xsi as my second car thought it was the fastest thing on the road, got a deal with only 40,000 miles on the clock one owner, wasnt long till i changed all that, wrapped it round a lampost and had to be cut out, this happened during the fire strike so i was lucky they came to help me out, was stuck in there for an hour. So after not learning my lesson i then bought another red xsi with a knocking bottem end didnt get far, on the way home from buying, it siezed locking up the front wheels on the north circ, got it home and dropped my old xsi engine in it was good as new. sold that annddddddd Bought the daddy of 106's a 106 rallye the name gives it away, broke down every time i took it out. was in the garage every week , drive shafts popping out, crack in the block, excessive gearbox judder suspension bits falling off etc etc, but when it was working it handled like nothing else i have owned like a little go kart it was. for a 1.3 engine it did go some until i T boned a jeep at a cross junction. After all that i was skint so i bought a saab 9000 for £150 turned the boost up all the way and blew the turbo in a week but i fitted a new turbo for 80, tried to start it and the ring gear had snapped.... lol sold it for £100
