Would you disconnect the actuator solinoids with tips? ive disconnected mine to keep it stable so the ecu doesnt try to compensate. but i have a manual boost control.

Well it may differ from car to car, but yes should be around 1 bar for 1mm tip.

Yes its safer of course but..... when the weather gets warmer (summer) and your running the same boost as to which was fine and dandy in the winter the charge temps will rise and engine will detonate with the same setting it was running in the winter. The owner thinking his car is running fine which actually it isnt and its detonating like guy folks??? So having a manual control will allow you to set it back a bit when it becomes unsafe?

I think they should be, as one turbo will be taking more vacume than the other. i ask this coz i have set mine up with diferent length on each side and its not running very well and think i should re pipe all the hoses to make then even on each side.

Just came across this thread. As im having trouble with setting my boost. am i right in saying that when installing a manual boost controler like the one on ebay, you have to make sure when bringing both side vacume hoses from the boost source to a T piece the length of hose must be exactly the same with each side or one turbo will be boost more or less than the other? ??

surely every car has its own characteristics and boost would vary. when i put in 1.0m tips my car was running too high boost, so i decided to install a manual boost control as this way i can always turn it down a bit especially with this cold weather. Its safer

oil pressure should be more than that, depending on oil viscosity, if the oil is thick when cold it may not be getting to the top as easy as it would when warm and thinner. what oil you using?
