  1. Not a clue..... see how many fingers you can get under the rear arch before touching the tyre... when mine was dropped 30 mm i could get 2 fingers under there. so id say about 3 sausages?
  2. Spot on... change them all..... either energy/whiteline/driftworks bushings What suspension you got on there? standard?
  3. how you get it out in the end?
  4. standard are good for 600bhp.
  5. I know, and 99.9% of it is spam. apart from that one post where i helped that guy do that thing that helped his car work again.
  6. I bought my tein ha's second hand and your right they were rusted and a bit jammed but i rubbed them down resprayed them and they are working great, just make sure you keep the thread greased. The rep for rust etc only apllies to the older teins they have recently improved ive heard... or read somewhere.
  7. :D:D:D have a fag while your at it too :D
  8. Once you have drilled a descent size hole hammer a star shaped allen key socket in the hole so its nice and tight, attach your rachet to it and try undo it, if it rounds off hammer in the next size up etc. But use the blow touch to make it easier.
  9. If youve had some filler work done round there then id say defo leave it. But i really need mine done now, i cant pull out my cambers otherwise.
  10. Normally, when turbo seals have had it they smoke on tickover and when you rev it goes away, but a really worn seal would just smoke the whole time. Do another good search. possible sticky pcv valves.......could be valve stem seals..... just trying to mention the cheapest options.... sorry to say but mine does this first thing in the morning and i have low compression on a number of cylinders. so im getting a rebuild.... Does your smoke when you come of the throttle after giving it some?
  11. No cv joints at the front of a 300zx :D There is on the rear tho on the driveshafts :) Its defo a leaky tension rod bush get them buggers changed.... I think i should start buying used rods and fitting new bushings in there and selling them. Id make a fortune. Seems to me like every other car on here has a leaking bush. well if your near me and you need one replacing il fit both for 30 quid ;) as long as you supply them ;)
  12. but if ya make a mistake welding and weld the fooker to the hub your well and truely screwed. id prob give it a go :D
  13. Dont go drilling the thread or youl need a new hub :D And make sure you punch a tiny hole bang central for a good guide as to start with.
  14. Youl need some long nose's.
  15. Thats why im trying to find some feedback from anyone on here who may have used them or is using them.
  16. Are they? can ya find a site that sells them? i cant find one....
  17. Well done new york. we got too many do gooders in this city.
  18. http://ngvi.ebay.co.uk/vi?ngvi&backtoid=3&ppsp=1&li=1&pdp=0&sspagename=WDVW&dsr=0&item=130212943076&backto=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Fsofocus%3Dbs%26sbrftog%3D1%26from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D300zx%2Bsuspension%26sacat%3D-1%2526catref%253DC6%26a6%3D-24%26a39%3D-24%26a39702%3D-24%26a10244%3D-24%26alist%3Da6%252Ca42078%252Ca39%252Ca41%252Ca39702%252Ca10244%26pfmode%3D1%26reqtype%3D1%26gcs%3D2390%26pfid%3D3528%26pf_query%3D300zx%2Bsuspension%26sargn%3D-1%2526saslc%253D3%26sadis%3D200%26fpos%3DN13%2B4PT%26sabfmts%3D1%26saobfmts%3Dinsif%26ga10244%3D10425%26ftrt%3D1%26ftrv%3D1%26saprclo%3D%26saprchi%3D%26fsop%3D3%2526fsoo%253D2&pass=prIEXwMYEJOFiZ4ZVK3YHczok8w%3D they are quite neat looking, but never judge a book by its cover.... do we know anyone using d2's?
  19. yep id go for the spl's
  20. hard to say, you can messgae them and ask to reduce the value on the customs for and mark as a gift. but £500 would prob work out to about £100 more or less.
  21. When a bike has been resprayed its always most likely that its been in an accident. a custom spray job no matter how nice or expensive it was always affects the sell price. personally a bike thats been in an accident wouldnt put me off unless its not handling right or bent etc. ive bought bikes with damage before and they rode great, even had onw with a welded frame ,was fine. That R1 looks nice how much he want for it? summers very close guys :D
  22. May be worth looking out for a second hand pair. oooorr sorry to say but ebay sell those d2 ones for 485 delivered but not including the custom charges you may get.
  23. sorry i cant find prices for d2's only on ebay..... i think they are an aussy product or something. Your not going racing or anything are you stella? depends how you drive if ya wanna go all out and buy the best setup.... and then you will go and sell your car in a few months then you may aswell just go for a cheaper setup. how much you wanna spend? is it just for the lowering...
  24. gime the cash il hold onto it for you....erm lemme find some prices hold on
  25. Its best to use ones that you know have been tried and tested..... tein all the way baby, Ive seen a few around though. What bout d2's?
