Had problems with my first and second but the SKY+ box generates a lot of heat a bit like our Z'eds!!! You'll notice the picture freezing up a lot more this time of year with the rise in temprature so your SKY+ box needs to have plenty of airflow and ventilation around it... Ever since i've taken the back of my tv cabinet to allow more airflow and left the SKY+ Box on a shelf all on it's own it's been working 7months ok!!! I'm sure Luke at Z centre will do some cool vents for a SKY+ box soon!!! :D

Brilliant Day!!! Thank you to everyone who made the effort to turn up including DannyZX without his Z.. 9 Z'eds in total!!! Was really nice to meet new people and what an awesome lunch we all had too!!! Hopefully we'll catch up with Paul and Anna at the next one, gutted you guys couldn't make it but next time!!! This was the biggest meet we had down here yet and the weather wasn't too bad either!! Really good to see everyone.... Just to say a big thank you to Paul@SWZ for sorting me out an airflow meter so quickly and for DannyZX for dropping it into work for me today so I could fit it on my lunch break!! Car actually felt like it was pulling better than ever before on my way home this evening so my AFM must have been a little dodgy for ages... Even the idle is ok now... Thanks once again lads, your both ledgends!! :bow: :bow: :)

Hi peeps! My Air Flow Meter has decided to call it day so I am urgently requiring a new one if anyone on here has a working one spare I can buy off them! Please let me know as it's no fun owning a Twin Turbo Z that only rev's to 2500RPM!! Have to run with the AFM disconnected to make her go else the engine just over fuels and floods.... Many thank to anyone who can help me! ;)

Quick update on my Z, diagnosed the fault as a faulty Air Flow Meter... Have got it disconnected now so I can drive my Z and make it to the meet but it on crutches as with the AFM disconnected your only alowed to rev to 2500RPM!!! Gotta be better than walking though!!! If anyone comming to the meeting has a spare working AFM I could buy off them that would be very much appreciated!! Look forward to seeing you all with my poorly Z! ;)

Hiya Ray, Tried this with all the connectors and they are all clean and shiny still... They we're new only a few years ago but not corrosion has set in at all... Think it's and air leak which might explain the pssss like sound comming from near the drivers side throttle body... Just wondering if I have an injector problem there or is there a small vac pipe that may have split?

Thanks Shelton, drove it home from work tonight and the lumpy problem is getting a lot worse... Fear it's not an electrical problem now, thought It might have been a head gasket problem after seeing some bubbly froth under my rad cap but the water is clean with no oil sludge traces and remembered that last year I put in some water wetter type stuff which creates tiny bubbles... Still doesn't explain why it drives almost ok once the engine has got very warm though?? Thinking i've got some sort of air leak as when I had the bonnett up this evening and revved it I could hear a pssssss like sound comming from near the drivers side throttle body... The left one doesn't do this but equally couldn't feel any air escaping... Richards bros are gonna have a look on friday but If I can't get it sorted quickly then I'm gonna have to borrow me old mans Rover and turn up in that!!!

Thanks Greg but when she's warmed up it's not as bad???? Very confused!!! Below 2,500RPM it's very lumpy and almost feels like it's over fueling a but after 3,200RPM seems to pick up but noticed if I now boot it I get boost drop off we're as before It was sitting at a constant 1Bar....

So what signs would a series 1 PTU show when failing.... Would this be causing my recent missing and lumpy idle problems and stalling????

Fooking great this is!!! Got in the Z to drive to work this morning and it's miss firing like a *******!! It goes and sort of rectifies itself when you boot it but the idle is all lumpy and it's stalled on me a few times... Hoping it's just a spark plug gone down so hopefully gonna get it sorted this thursday or friday... If not i'll still turn up with my Z not running as she should... Pissed off.... :mad:
