Well i thought it would be a good idea to call the mechanic today to see if we needed any more parts and he said oh glad you called need to get rid of the car as the misses is getting on at him as it's sitting in the front garden, so i now have to find some where to store it until he needs it again and i have to hire a trailer or something to move it both ways. When is it all going to be over??? Hope it's all worth it in the end!! Being realistic i doubt it will be ready for at least 4 months if that.

Morning i had a flat, so filled up at tesco but when doing it realised the rear 2 were just as bad. Not sure if the rears are punctures yet or were just flat. Well anyway, what wheels fit a 98 Almera?? it's a 4 stud. I'll just change the wheels rather than buying 3 new tyres probably be cheaper.

So if the crunch is down to a syncro problem and this kit comes with uprated ones Purchasing a Os Giken gear kit will completly sort the crunching problems?

good with gearbox's?? what's a gearbox :rofl: I know a bloke who may do it for me at a good price though.

So should i just fill it with Redline MT-90 and forget about it? As spending 8k on a new box isn't really within my budget lol.

Oh right so changing the internals isn't going to work then, so how do all the high powered Zeds currently resolve the problem? They surely can't all have 6 speed boxes.

Did anyone know Saleen who make the S7 beast also make a Mustang?? Apparently it like how Alpina is to Bmw. I saw one the other night, few body mods but apparently is mega fast, doubt it corners though still american lol. Also there was a Chevy SS pick up which he reckons had 600bhp from factory. And also a old school dodge pickup with a big lump in. All Tasty looking motors.

Also adding to that would a closer gear ratio actually slow me down at some where like Santa Pod as i would have to change gears more times?

I'm going to be running more power and i already have the famous 4th gear crunch. I havn't replaced the oil with MT-90 yet, will this be ok in a high hp car say 600+ ish. Or does this need replacing? and what are my options? I know OS Giken make a kit for the Zed and they offer different options for gearing, i got myself in a muddle and thought the higher ther gear the higher top end you will have but i downloaded the Quaife speed calculater and it's the other way around. I would ideally like a faster acceleration but a higher top end so thinking something like a closer 1-3 and a higher 5th for more top end, not that i intend doing it but it would just be really nice. i would love to hit the 200mph mark.

I want to improve the acceleration of my Zed via altering the Diff but... At the same time I also want a better diff so i get more power on the road before the Traction control takes it away. So when buying a new diff, would i also replace the gearing of the diff with a leadergears gears? or can i specify gearing when ordering a new diff? stock gear is 3.69 and leadergears is 4.10. I don't want to fit a NA diff neither. In your opinion who makes the best diff? i know Cusco, Quaife, Nismo and Kaaze make them for our cars

yup i made that mistake last time, send the hard drive and when i got it back it was empty. I couldn't make out what she said but sounded like i had to supply a box this time.

yay!! Guess what?? i just called Microsoft and they are going to repair it for free. It's out of it's warranty though. Only prob is it's one of these bingbangbong countries and couldn't understand a work the women was saying so not sure what to do now, think i wait for a email.

Well said, see that's why people do it. Not only that, i'm 23 and have nothing better to spend money on lol.

They way i look at it is, i couldn't afford the 911 (20k) from the begining or up front, i've been doing bits over time although mostly in the last year but i've been saving for this for a couple of year putting bits away. Thing is with buying a 911 is there is one oh and there is another exactly the same, this way you have a car taylored to yourself and you will never come across one exactly the same. Another thing is a Zed with 20k spent on it i would imagine would beat a 911 i would be disapointed after having this work done if i couldn't beat one most super cars arnt pushing 600bhp ok i know there is more to it than the bhp figure but it sure does help.

I was only searching for uprated fuel pumps lol and found this post. Hopefully within the next few months i should be joining the big hp boys, i'm hoping for at least 600hp at the flywheel. I've got almost all the parts, pretty much all. It's in the engine shope being machined as we speak then my mechanic will start building, i'm ditching the Plenum going for a single 100mm got it from chick boy land, looks awesome, shiney ;) lol thing what makes me laugh about is, the engine bay is wow, well the engine then you step back and see the bodywork ummm.... ha one thing at a time i guess.

i'm always confused don't worry about it haha. Yar actually now you say it no they don't look good enough, i can't make my mind if i like them or not, they would have to be bonded on and smoothed in properly unlike to Do-Luck pic.
