I was thinking about fitting some speakers in those trim panels but didn't know what behind them.

I just called the Customs and Excise advice line, the women on the phone was very helpful and i'm still not sure if it was a scam. She said that it does sounds a bit odd and they have had reports of new scams. She said the best thing for me to do is to old tight and wait until they cool again to get more information. Is there a number i can call to get hold of someone who can look onto their systems and track my parcel and see what duties there are to pay?

I just recieved a call from them. it's 7.30pm and said i owe them £180 before they ship my parcel. I am expecting a parcel but i have a gut feeling this is a scam, they know the address and the person on the phone was a foreigner i couldn't understand. My reasons are firstly the time, secondle i couldn't understand them why would customs be using a call centre, thirdly i was under the impression duties were paid for once the item had arrived forthly the amount of duties seems expensive. any thoughts on this would be great.

Urethane plastic ones are worth a look, nothing worse than spending all that money and it cracks or splits.

have you tried reseting it? there will either be a reset button where you need to press a paper clip or somthing in or try disconnecting it.

But that also shows that the Aem is a much better option as it is more tunable. As a update the car didn't start. Spark problem, everything else seemed alright so hopefully it's something simple causing it.

you have several options. firstly try and claim off the people who delivered it as damageged in transit. Secondly, contact her again and advice you will report her to ebay for selling faulty goods etc. If it was paid for via paypal i think they insure you some how. See what she comes back with and contact ebay as you might be covered.

I called him at 6.30 pm and it wasn't started at that point. He is working late tonight to get it up and running :D Yeah the Aem is really complicated buddy, Dave updated the software before he started setting it up and it went from complicated to omg extremly complicated. When i went down to see how it was getting on Dave was showing me my map he was setting up on his laptop. haha i thought it looked very pretty but no idea what it all meant. He also showed me other maps he had setup in other applications like the E-Manage Ultimate and you would not believe how basic that is compared to the Aem. I really can't wait, since the car has been with Dave more progress has took place in a month than compared to 2 years with the other garages. Should of just took it there in the first place but in a weird kinda way it's good i've been messed about left right and centre as that is 2 years of hard saving, if it was with Dave from the start it would be no where near the same spec as i wouldn't of been able to afford all the parts.

Tonight my Zed will be started for the first time in 2 years. In that time it has undergone a rebuild and modded. Scary :mac1:

yeah the internet is just as easy as the phone but in this case neither will help me. basicly the car has been off the road for 2 years. the car will hopefully get a MOT tomorrow and i want to get my tax tomorrow but i can't get the Tax disk from the garage hense being able to get the number from it. As you can imagine i'm very eager and excited to drive my car after 2 years so i can't wait a extra day i want to drive it that night i pick it up. It is illegal to drive a car without a tax disk displaid even if it is actually taxed, both the phone and internet will take a couple of days to come through.

Cool this could be my answer, there is a DVLA office within walking distance. So DVLA can issue Tax disk if you have a mot but it's not on you. Lets hope the system is pretty much instant then so it's all updated by the time i go in there.

Is it possible to get my road tax without the mot certificat present? it will be mot and i could have the number off the mot certificate if there is one. I thought about taxing it online as all you need is the number off your v5 and reg number and the system checks for the insurance and tax but i read on their website that if you purchase your tax online it is still illegal to drive the car without the tax disk present. although you only just did it online. So i need to get my tax from the post office but without the mot certificate present.

Haha that reminds me of when i first bought my Zed back in 03 i refused to drive it being 19 at the time i dreaded the thought of driving a 300hp car home 100 odd mile for the first time. So i made my dad drive it well it wasn't hard to make him lol. We pulled up at a petrol station i jumped out of my bimmer all excited as you do pulled the dool open on the Zed while puppa smurf still had the belt on and he kinda fell out of the door in front of loads of people as the belt being fit to the door pulled him out, he didn't find it as funny as i did though. haha he got revenge by leaving me on the way back "daddy... where are you?? i'm lost"
