Rough running
Sorted it out today, after pulling all the plugs and coils managed to find one of the rear plugs was not sparking, checked the coil was ok and then managed to trace the problem back to the PTU. It was a bad connection between the new PTU connector and the old wiring, its still not a great connection so I am going to cut out both connectors and hard wire the PTU instead. I don't know if its the new PCV's/spark plugs or just general service but its going great. Next job is to find a new (non rusty) hatch to replace whats left of mine.

HELP...Thinking about a 350 Z !!!
I had a £15k Subaru before my Zed, but I got fed up as I was always worried about leaving it parked somewhere and someone keying it. I did'nt want to do any mods to it as I was worried about the expence if something went wrong and and the warrenty got voided. The servicing costs were terrible as well, the last one was £960, but had to be done to keep the FSH. Sold the Subaru bought the Zed and I am enjoying having the Zed 100x more. Even though its not been as reliable, its more fun, both driving and looking at parts, working on it etc to make it better. Keep the Zed!

Cod4
I play on the PS3, bit addicted to it at the moment, my mates are buying other games, but I just don't seem to be getting bored of it at the moment so no point buying any other game, well until the full version of GT5 is released.

What Bumper do you have?
1990 standard at the moment, hopefully will be getting a 99spec later in the year.

Rough running
I have already fitted a new ECU temp sensor a couple of months ago, its also has a new s2 PTU. I did fit new PCV valves at the same time as doing the cambelt and I fitted the cambelt as advised on ttz.com and threads I have read on this forum, I am confident the cam belt is lined up correctly. I am going to check all the elec connections this morning to see if I have knocked something whilst doing the cambelt.

Rough running
No cambelt is fine, I checked it several times and got a friend to check it as well, all the markings lined up correctly, I have read about power loss etc from 1 tooth out so made sure it was right.

Rough running
I have just finished fitting a new cam belt/water pump etc and when I started it up it sounds as though it is misfiring. When I checked the exhausts there was more pressure from the drivers side exhaust that the passanger side. No smoke or anything. I am going to put some new spark plugs on it to see if that is the problem but has anyone else got any ideas why it might be running rough. It was running fine before I did the cam belt.

Rear PCV hose
Has anyody got any hints/tips on replacing the rear PCV hose. I have changed the front two hoses and replaced both valves and the pipes onto the valves, but I cannot get to the rear one at the back of the engine to get it off, any ideas??

Who do you use in the US of A
I have used both Z1 and Courtesy Nissan and had no problems from either. Everything ordered has arrived very quickley, but getting the bill later from DHL/UPS is not so good.

Sounds like your describing my gearbox!

Zcentre
The last couple of items I have ordered have been pending for a couple of weeks before I got them. I wouldn't worry, give him a ring he seems a decent guy when I spoke to him.

White is the new Silver, White cars look stunning
I know, its on my list of things to do. I would have been having it resprayed by now if the water pump hadn't started leaking. I've had to re-direct the money to a 60k service first and hopefully get the body work sorted out later in the year.

Thermosat fitting
Yep the two allen keys in the middle, mine were'nt long enough and then when I got a longer one off a neighbour I had to put a spanner on it to turn it.

Thermosat fitting
Thanks, thats what I thought, just wanted to make sure before I continue over the weekend. Its my first attempt so I am taking it slowly, its not easy getting to all the bolts.

White is the new Silver, White cars look stunning
The problem with my white zed is the rust patches show up really badly, I'm sure if it was another colour you would'nt notice as much. I have noticed some white Porsches and BMW's recently which have looked really good.

Thermosat fitting
I am in the process of doing a 60k service at the moment, I have just taken the old Thermosat out and it had some sort of gasket sealant around it. I am using the guide on http://www.ttzd.com and it does not mention anything about using a sealant on the Thermosat. Just wondering if I need to put sealant on it or not?

About to fit new floor and sills
I thought mine had rust problems, but its nothing compared to the sxoc link. I am considering buying a shell in the future to make one good car. Never had a go at welding and think I would get more enjoyment from making one decent car from two donors.

Why do I eat so much?
Making me hungary, sounds like one of my orders. I noticed in the last few years towards the big 30, I have actually started to gain a small amount of weight. Stayed the same through my early twentys no matter what I ate.
