  15. HAHA...Well i is desperate :D I gave all u guys suggestions a go and came up with this lot: PTU The connectors were fairly corroded so took some emery board to them. ECU Diag Got a 13 so i checked the temp sensor connector and that 2 was in need of cleaning! Ran the diag after that and it came up with 55. TPS Again this was corroded abit so was cleaned. TB's I didnt fancy getting my hands too dirty so didnt bother with these  If i do get the same problem these will be the first on the list. Thanks for all your suggestions. In answer to my own question about dating....:D I have since got my logbook from the dealer and it came with a BIMTA certificate stating date of registration in Japan as November '89!!!! Cheers Pete
  16. Cheers for that lee. Its a bit dark now so i'll give it a go 2moro Got the info about chassis # from the OZ club, but it's only for J-Spec Z's http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/year.htm After removing the cover to the ECU I see that i have a different one to the one in the pics from the ttzd website. It's considerably bigger and is on the right hand side instead of the left. Does this mean i have an 8-bit board?? I didnt get round to do the diag as i couldnt find a small enuf screwdriver, but will do it 2moro, cause now its time to get p1ssed!! Pete
  17. Thanks for the suggestions, i will have a look over the weekend and see what i can find. Another question! Do you know how i can date my car? I've found a website with a list of chassis numbers but mine doesnt fit in for the year that it says on the logbook??? Cheers Pete
  18. OK this is a weird one, but here goes. I was ordering my food this evening and just as i asked for me chicken nuggets the car jumps to 1500rpm and just rises up slowly to about 1700, which is strange i thought having not touched the accelerator, anyhoo. I whack it in drive and move on to the next window where the same thing happens, still intrigued i move to the car park and wait for the food. ........ 5 mins later got the food go to start her up and not much happens. She turns over, but wont start and after a few seconds there is a REAL strong smell of fuel, not knowing what to do i sit there and eat my food whilst praying to the maker (not NISSAN!!) that she'll start when i try in a minute cause there is the usual crowd of novas etc staring at us and i dont need them laughing at me and my tempremental car. So i've finished me dinner and start her up. With a little bit of coaxing she does start but runs rough for a second or 2 and then fine until i hit the accelerator (gently) where she proceeds to fake a stall and then surge into life. After about 5 mins everything is back to normal. I even started her up a few mins before typing this and it was all ok so anyone got any ideas??? Does my car object to Mcdonalds (this being the first visit i've had in her) :D Weird Pete
  19. I'd go for windows 3.1 :D
