  1. Hey guys, sandeep from aus300zx here: profile. Just thought I would put in a good word for Paul. I have bought quite a few things from Paul over the last few years and his prices were always good and I always got my parts on time. He organized numerous group buys on our forums and has many many satisfied customers. I did not see one thread on aus300zx from a customer complaining about Paul, his customer service is second to none. Paul left aus300zx after a disagreement with moderators, which is a shame because we don't have as many GB's from Z1/AMS/CZP on our forums now.
  2. It costs about $1.50 AUD per litre so about $90 to fill the tank. My NA was able to do the whole cruise on one tank, about 550km and the empty light just came on.
  3. it was actually quite cold but still sunny. great driving weather though. was a great cruise, 500+km in one day... i think the car is just about due for a service now.
  4. thanks for the advice legrath. eibach springs sound like they'd suit australian roads. since my car is a daily i don't want really stiff suspension. maybe this can now be moved to a different forum? cheers
  5. oh i thought it was a big write-up review... still good info though. thanks
  6. yeah i guess that's true. is it alright for me to ask if anyone who's read that review can summarize it for me? or email me a copy to read (if that's allowed... don't want to bend the rules or anything) thanks guys
  7. given that i'm an australian member, is it possible to just allow me to view pages like these without all the other features a subscribed user gets? (eg i'm not going to need Group buy access, don't need to post classifieds, don't need the 300zx.uk webmail address, won't need trader discounts or membership pack...). Is it possible for international users (who just want to read/ask questions etc) to just get restricted access like this? cheers
  8. Hey Guys, Was searching for info on KYB AGX & Eibach springs and was trying to access this page: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44300 But it says I don't have permission to access that page... is there something I'm supposed to do with my account to allow me to view it? Do I have to be a paid member? Thanks
  9. cool. i've just ordered them, good to know it'll fit.
  10. thanks guys. yeah they look identical except the side bits are abit thicker on the NA, I'm guessing this is for clearance to SMIC's? I'll most probably get a TT one for my NA then, unless someone else posts in here that I shouldn't. Thanks again
  11. Hey guys. Was just wondering if anyone knew what the differences were between the Splash shield on a TT and NA. I've got an NA but there's a seller on the australian forums who's bringing in New TT splash shields at a very good price (about half the price of a New NA one) so just wanted to know if there was a difference and if a TT splash tray bolts straight in with no mods? Here's the pic of the splash shield for TT And here's the NA one (or it may just be a pic of a TT one... not sure) These are the shields that bolt to the underside of the front bar and a few other spots under the car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Sandeep
  12. I replaced my Cat's recently. As far as I know they were original OEM cats that had been on the car since it was build in 1990...Mine were stuffed, you could smell the sulphur smell and that seems to indicate stuffed cats. I checked out the price of new OEM cats. It was around $900 AUD each (maybe 300 pounds? not sure what the exchange rate is... all i know is buying parts from the US is cheap these days :) ) I didn't want to pay $1800 AUD for cats so I went for aftermarket MetalCats. Not sure if you have them over there but they're a highly rated metal core cat. Means that if you happen to hit a speed bump, the metal core isn't going to fracture like the stock cats would. it cost me about $600 AUD for the pair in 2.5inch Stainless Steel, they're high flow too so i thought it was worth spending the money on it. you can see pics of my install thread here:http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=263917
  13. is it a missifre or is it more like the car is hesitating? as you said it could be water coming into contact with the hot wire in the AFM (do you have your splash panel under the pod?) Pull out your pod and dry it (you could leave it in the sun- assuming you get sun over there lol :p) and pull out your AFM and give it a spray with carby cleaner and let it dry. Would also be a good time to clean up the AFM plug if there's any corrosion on it. Hope that solve's your problems. 14. Can't really tell from the pics but the paint is pretty scratched. It's been keyed down the 2 rear quarter panels since I've bought it which annoyed the hell out of me but can't really do much about it... just gotta get it fixed so it looke nice again. Originally I wanted a black Zed but went and saw the silver and I liked it. Was planning to respray Black but Silver's grown on me... shows off the curves abit better maybe... Thanks for the welcome and all the comments!
  15. Hi All, Seems a few of you guys have joined up to Aus300zx.com so I figured I'd join up here to say hello. It's a '90 NA J-spec 2+2 Manual in Silver. Not many mods so far, got an Apexi pod, 2.5inch front pipes, 2.5inch metal cats and 2.5inch Fujitsubo Giken CatBack (came with the car from Jap... sounds nice though). Also has Brembo slotted rotors allround and swapped to TT front calipers. The wheels are GMAX Racing "Energy's" in 17*8 and 17*9 Got braided lines coming soon and after that I'll start spending more money on the suspension, extractors and a retune. Not too happy with the way the car looks atm, it shows lots of scratches and key marks from it's previous owners and doesn't really reflect how much money I've spent on it so at some point I'm going to fit the 2000 model J-spec front bar and some sideskirts and respray it in silver but a different silver to the stock one... Haven't seen the silver I've picked on a Z32 so hopefully will look nice (assuming I can afford the cost of the paint, otherwise I'll just paint it stock silver). Anyway, here's some pics my car when i first got it As you can see, it's a pretty much stock zed but I spend what ever i can afford to on it so it'll slowly become abit like some of your zed's which I've seen pics linked to our forum. That green zed with the cream leather interior is very nice. So classy. And there's alot of the widebody zed's which look cool too. Cheers Sandeep
