  1. Ok...i shall check the timing on thursday as ive just recieved the central 20 racing chip and fitted it to my ecu.... I dont want to run this chip until then as its bound to be more aggressive.... Cheers for sending the chip Andy..... :duffer:

Yes i know exactly....but the chip i seem to have i had a second opinion on and they didnt rate it much either seems pretty stock....it has no label nothing????i thought even copys had labels/sticker some sort of id.... So i thought it would be best to try another chip i may be able to trust....i have noticed a bit of det with this chip at mid rev range as well on part throttle so i dont trust it too much.....boost is at 13psi....
  3. Yes let me know mate :duffer: i will be interested to see what you make of the central 20 compared to the JWT. I have a (no-name) or (copy) aftermarket chip in my zed that came with the car and my ecu was already socketed too....i dont go much on the chip in my zed at the moment...ive tryed a stock chip in the Ecu i had left from my previous zed and there was no real difference apart from the increase in boost... :cool:

  6. Still would be helpful if anyone could give me any details of where they had there zed re-gassed and how much it cost and any info on a re-gasser near to me that has worked with zeds in the past.....
  7. Anyone know of any company or person who can refill/recharge my aircon on my zed. I Live in hampshire so someone close would be good...Ive spoke to some companys round here any they just want to rip me off by saying my system needs a total r134a conversion and im looking at up to £300+. I know people on here have had there's done alot cheaper than that...so any help would be appreiciated.... Cheers
  8. Always the brake band thats gone when youve only got gears 1 and 2..... Not a expensive job as the brake band is only around £40+vat, you just need to drop the box ,flush every thing and fit the new band and you will need a torque converter to oil pump seal. you can reuse the oil pump to casing metal/paper gasket as long as its not damaged just coat it with petroleum jelly before refitting the oil pump..... The 300zx manual either online or on cd will explain all of this....
  9. I saw one simular to this on Ebay a week or so ago...is it the same car? it had the engine rebuilt as well and was a non runner same colour body kit the lot and rust tailgate???? Am i wrong or is this the same car??? I was bidding on it myself??
  10. you have to do it with the engine running either on a consult or timing strobe gun you will need to run a piece of ignition lead down towards the spark plug with coil still on number one or try to get a reading off of the coil connector plug ...you can buy an adapter...

  12. Hi All Has anyone on here ever purchased one of these kits from the Above seller and would you recommend anyone buying one of these kits for their Zed. If anyone has bought one of these how did they fit and did they line up correctly..also what was the quality of the kit like...? Hi All i have a clifford 500 cat1 alarm which was already fitted to my zed and i need to remove due to some problems with it but i have been stripping down my zed all day and i cant find it.I found the siren and microwave sensor but the wires disappear into the main loom and i cant trace where they go......I need to know any common places they would be installed on a zed as they are quite hard to fit anyway due to not having much room in a zed.....I want to replace it with a toad ai606 that ive already purchased.... Any help please!!! :cry:

  20. Hi all i need some pictures of the left and right hand side of a twin turbo z32 engine please ....i need some with turbos fitted and some without turbos so i can see the engine block from each side....Any pics would be greatly apprieciated.... :bow:
  21. better check all your pipes at the back of the engine..... i had the same problem and mine sounded like it was bubbling at the back of the engine. mine leaked from the bell housing lots of people told me it was a bypass water hose or turbo water hose and it was (Not)!!......i thought from experience it was a Corroded/Popped core plug at the back of the engine and guess what!! After dropping my gearbox it was as core plug and cost me £1.02 + V.a.t from Nissan U.K..And the stock Core plugs Are Steel with zinc coating...(Check With Magnet) If it is one of those you better do all three at the back of the block and the crank shaft rear oil seal as well......There is also Three in the Vee under the intake manifold As well!!!But they dont often go....well not yet anyway... I wish i new this before i stripped half the top end of the engine down as some people told me ZED engines dont suffer from Corroded Core plugs!!!!? I wished id followed my instinct..
  22. or maybe previous owner froze it and it popped out only slightly and now ive bought it ,it poped right out under pressure
  23. Mate i have already done this and the water/coolant is pouring out of the drain hole at the bottom of the gearbox bellhousing (pouring untill system is nearly empty/dry)
  24. no there are no pipes going into the bell housing but there are core plugs behind the flywheel as i have seen these on the back of a zed engine before when i removed a gearbox off a previous zed i used to own..... i am just wondering if one of these have corroded or popped out under pressure when hot........has anyone here had a core plug go at any time as i want to avoid dropping the box and i need to eliminate what it could be.....even if there was a hose leaking on the back of the engine it would possibly only drip through the bellhousing not pour through like a running tap as the gearbox and engine have a plate between the two and i cant see any water sitting or pouring onto the top of the bellhousing from above so the leak must be from the back of the block or core plug!??
