1991 UK 300zx Rolling Shell/project
breaks my heart to do this but being realistic i don't have the room to store, nor the extra cash to fund putting this car back together, and i'd also prefer it went to an enthusiast rather than the scrap yard. it's a 1991 Red Uk Spec 300zx Twin Turbo (Reg is PBZ1398) for anyone wanting to check anything online. It's been Sorned and dry stored for the last 7 years, basically the majority of the car is complete minus the engine. it's was resprayed in the most part some time ago, but a few minor blemishes are showing, Drivers Side Wing, Bonnet and T-tops still to be painted, also there is no front bumper. Car is very clean underneath, no serious rot or rust. I'll try and get some decent pictures but its currently stored at my mums garage and its pretty cramped, hard to price something like this so i'm open to offers, but if admin insists i'll try and come up with something if there's interest. Thanks, any questions just ask away, or feel free to pm me. Car is Located in Angus, Scotland

"Why is my car on fire?" and other novice mechanic questions
yeah it's a pain, especially if you don't have small hands! lol, plus the amount of times i dropped the nut/washer while trying to thread it on to start with, thenhad to get out the car and lean under it to pick it up...have fun :D

"Why is my car on fire?" and other novice mechanic questions
I did this not too long ago when i replaced the bushes in the shifter mechanism, if i remember correctly i had to use a swivel head ratchet spanner, with restricted movement your maybe only getting a couple of clicks at a time but after perseverance i got it buttoned up, hope that helps somehow!

Nissan 300zx needing spolier
actually looks like there is something missing, as i don't have these, but the actual centre of the spoiler below where the brake light would be curves upward, its hard to explain so i'll get a picture of it.

Nissan 300zx needing spolier
Old thread revival, basically i'm after opinions on the best replica of the early 89 spoiler?, my most recent zed has some sort of copy/replica minus the brake light but the fit is terrible, and there's a massive gap between the taillights and the spoiler when the bootlid it closed, so who has one and recommends a good fitting version?

Brakes advice please!

NA owners
had the pleasure of owning both a TT and an N/a, all boils down to what you want from the car, either will turn heads and make a talking point. I bought the NA purely because my tt has been a long term project, and i wanted something fun in the twisties with out breaking the bank, i get all the enjoyment out of this car as i did my Twin turbo, which to me is what mattered, apart from the surge of power obviously.

Exhaust system
The Standard exhaust on my Zed is a little tired, it's blowing from the downpipe somewhere and the rest of the system is looking kinda ropey, so i'm after something new, anyone got a full system including downpipes that would fit my N/A?

Radiator/coolant flush treatments?
I've use coolant flush treatments in both of my Z31's and also my previous Z32 without any issues, usually once it has been used then flushed through with clean water, then the correct coolant etc added i've not noticed any adverse affects

Mudflap locations !
whats the chances they've been fitted there to cover up either corrosion, welding repair or dents?, the sills look kinda pushed in at places. Other than that, a few little changes back to OEM and it would be a beauty!

Finally back in a Zed!!!
Well, what can i say, i'm buzzing to finally be back in a Zed!, albeit an N/A, but its a manual and i LOVE it!, i've had a twin turbo zed for several years, but it had engine problems/overheating quite some time ago and long story short i lost heart/interest with it, and it's sat in the back of my garage for years,(didnt have the heart to sell it though) so i'm determined to make a start to getting it back to its former glory....i just needed a little push! inspiration, most people would probably think that i should've used the money to fix my turbo....but you can't have too many zeds right?? so that being said for my 35th birthday i've treated myself to this
-
Happy Birthday ryjay
Thanks for the Birthday wishes! Much Appreciated! had a couple days off work so that was a bonus.....and i've treated myself to an N/A Z32 manual as my birthday present :D....pics to follow in another thread!

Powdercoating a sump
With regards to Por-15, it is very good, and really durable, but if you're spraying it make sure you use a proper filtered mask!, i've read quite a few stories from people in america not using adequate breathing apparatus and breathing in particulates,....its really nasty stuff
