  1. I dont know did you read it? I can't tell what you read and what you didn't ;) I would like to say though, DOT 5.1 fluid is now said to be the most advanced. However, all the racing spec expensive fluids are DOT 4. Stuart

There is a section on the forum for spark plugs. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=31 Ask there or access this persons site. He sells spark plugs and would be best to tell you which ones. Stuart
  3. Yes But the official figures from Nissan say 300bhp. The 300ZX came out before the 280PS law came into force. Stuart
  4. 300bhp, In 1996 Variable Valve Timing was dropped and the power dropped to 280
  5. Well that is true, but it told me something is wrong.
  6. I had the cambelt changed about a week ago, and with that the water and radiator was taken out hence new water and anti freeze. Anyway, we all know that you should check your water levels for a few days after to make sure there where no air pockets. I did check it every day, but sitting in traffic today I noticed the water temp was getting a little high, about 90ºC. It got to 100ºC and I stopped and turned the engine off and checked the water levels again, the 2nd time that day, and poured about half a of water in to top it up. However, my dash water gauge was still showing normal temperature. Imagine if I didnt have that other gauge, I would have been driving round with not enough water in, and with it over heating. Lucky I think. Stuart
  7. No one will own up to that ;)
  8. OMG!!!!!! Can that really do that? I should not wash my window so much. :(

Why the pictures so small? Am I the only person in this world who thinks the Enzo looks ugly almost comical.
  10. Depends if you want the sound increase
  11. I think so because Skylines have the same brakes as a 300ZX. The GTR Skyline has slightly different brakes but have the same problem with wheels catching teh caliper. I cant see any reason why they wouldnt fit.
  12. No JWT chip is made for the UK. SE chips are made for UK unleaded, Japanese chips such as Mines are made for 100ron fuel which they use over there. If you want a custom made chip on a rolling road you will have to pay for it, as they are expensive. I found a place who specialise in doing such a thing for the 300ZX. However they where in Belgium. Total misfire causing loud bangs and sometimes flames out the exhaust. This happened for about 6 months happening only every now and then, but became more frequent. The day it stopped working the revs would cut out at different revs. First when I got to 4500rpm the engine would not stall but the throttle would cut out until I released the throttle completely and then applied it again. This limit became lower and lower until I couldnt go over 3000rpm. When it failed I was accelerating hard off a roundabout the revs reached about 3500 rpm and wouldnt go any higher. Very very loug bangs, probably 5 or 6 in a row, odd lick of flame and puffs of soot occured for a bout 2 seconds, before totally stalling. Engine would not start at all. After cooling down for about 30 mins, the engine would start but then die within 4 or 5 seconds and then refuse to start. My experience is not the norm. This is what happens when you engine is warm and you at high revs when it fails. I heard some one say the same thing when theirs failed at higher revs. I was licky. It was just a very bad connection on the PTU. Stuart
  14. Word of warning. Radar detector not are legal, radar jammers very illegal. You will be charged with obstructing the course of justice which is serious. Be careful. Or just dont speed ;) Or another alternative is vote Conservative LOL ;) Stuart
  15. Apparently about 600bhp before you have to start changing gearbox internals Stuart
  16. I though I just saw http://www.zcentre.co.uk selling seals. They sell the ones that go on the T-Top
  17. Very easy to fit. I got mine for about £60 off Ebay. There is always 1 or 2 for sale there. To install, unscrew the 2 nuts on top of the strut, put the bracked on and then put the nuts back on. Do the same on the other side and your done.
  18. I am sure some one sells the rad ends for £30 and you can get your radiator re-cored for £100-£130 or so. You will end up with virtually a new radiator for under £200
  19. Some one was thrown in prison for having one though. :( They detected he had one because the radar gun would not work at all with it as he forgot to turn it off. The new ones now scramble the gun and then turns off as to not to rise suspiction, but its enough time to slow down.
  20. Mac but he already has 2, as does Stuart. If I could afford it I would have it, but I have no chance at the moment :(
  21. I feel for you, but as you can guess, most of us already have a Z. :(
  22. Apparenty he slates it. He calls our Z fat. dispite him putting it in his top 100 cars
  23. I know. Men tend to take stupid risks and cause accidents like that, women dither or dont pay as much attention as they should or misjudge distances and cause accidents that way. This woman last night obviously wasnt thinking ahead and went when the light went green, paying no attention to the huge red, flashing, loud fire engine which was about to turn infront of her.
  24. I am telling you, put a strut brace on, that really firms up the suspention.
  25. Sorry to any women on this site, but I am sick to death of hearing the boring argument that women are safer drivers, when 75% of the time where I have to swerve to miss a car or change speed on the motorway because some one is changing lanes without looking, its a woman. Let me give you an example, and I knew she was going to do what she did from the start. I was at a set of traffic lights at a cross roads in town, usually 1 lane each way but there where 2 lanes in my direction, right lane turns right only and the left is straight on and turn left. The lights where on red, I was in the right lane turning right, a women in the left lane wanting to go straight on and there where no cars on the junction infront of us. While the lights are on red I see a fire engine blue lights on, flashing headlights, sirens on and also honking the horn coming up the road towards us. The lights where still on red, and I thought well, just stay here because what ever direction they want to go they have plenty of room. Half way up the road the fire engine starts to indicate right, so it will turn in front of us to our left. The indicator is clear as day and they indicated for about 10 seconds before the junction, so they gave plenty of notice. The traffic lights for us then turn green just as the fire engine is approching. Guess what the woman in the car did. Nearly causing an accident where she would have come easliy worse off. Stuart
