Every time I have to remove the coils for something, I always have problems with it not firing on all cylinders. That is why I am getting a new harness for it ;) Stuart

Metal bits in your cylinder? Possiblities are the turbine in the turbo is wobbling, causing the turbo to scrape the housing inside. The metal parts you are seeing are bits of either the housing or wheel. Do an oil change and rip open the old oil filter and see if there are any metal peices in there. Do not drive your car anywhere for a while. Stuart

I think the £2500 is for a total rebuild. The same for a 300ZX will cost you a hell of a lot more.

*****cks to @ Crank as it is not 100% accurate. It is ESTIMATED at the crank. The only power that is important is at the wheel. I dont think the dyno on Saturday will give you estimated values at the crank only at the wheel. Stuart

Have you done a ECU error check? If there is no spark, it sounds like the PTU has actually broken. Stuart

Good thing about Wánkel engines rebuilds are really cheap compativly to normal engines. Less moving parts, only 1 piston, no con rods, less valves. It will probably cost you just over a grand to get one done. About the same cost people spend to just get an Autobox fixed.

If there is no information coming from the Temp sensor the car runs like a big bag of shit. It most probably is the temp sensor, but now the signal is not reaching the ECU. Either a bad connection or some how the wire has split some where.

Read what it says when you do a O2 sensor test on the ECU Mode 2 I think it is. It says it should go from lean to rich 5 times in 10 seconds. I know mine are fecked as the it only changes once every 10 seconds.

When you cleaned the TPS did you put it back with the correct setting? Its not so much the PTU is dirly more the problem the thing has slipped and reading too low.

Could be heat sheild on the exhaust.

You cant take weather forecasts over a week in advanced too seriously. Look again on Thrusday or Friday. I remember the Billing forecast said meant to be raining a week before. It ended up being really nice. Stuart

Did the garage check out both sets of brakes? You can change the pads yourself, its not hard. Squeeling brakes doesnt really mean that they are not working correctly or something wrong.

Why do people always say that. As if an exact conversion of a PS2 and Xbox game and peopel say the PS2 is better game play and the developers inform you that they are exact copies of each other. If game play is all that mattes you would be playing Spectrum, C64 and Amiga games all the time ;) They are the most "Playable" games ever made.
