I always found that you have to put the forward top on first, then just start pushing down and towards the glass, working your way towards the rear of the door. Glass down for best results, which may be difficult if you cant raise it afterwards!!

Baz, Can't see how a switch could blow an amp, it's only two small relays. If the amp has been changed, and the switch as well, I'd be looking at the motor......BUT..... If you passenger window is sticking down, then I'd say your amp is knacked!!! Probably a dodgy solder joint on the PCB, and more than likely where the plug coupler attaches to the PCB. It wont take much of a dry joint to cause these problems Dave

You're going to have BIG problems here!! They are the later type connectors used by Nissan from around that era, for models like the Micra etc here in the UK. I'll check when i get home later, as I'm sure i have photos of a US double Din headunit and CD player assembly with those same connectors on (two separate units, not one full double din) I'll report back later on that. Your other choice will be to find a UK spec Nissan, from that era that has a good looking headunit that you could substitute. The only other option, and keeping with originality, would be to have something imported from japan, if you can find anything that is. Dave

Still not really sure what you are asking for :confused: If it's brand new, then it has to be registered with the DVLA, and the only way you can do this is to send the form off to them in the post, could take up to 4 weeks to come back. Until then you can't insure it. In the photos it looks like you're wearing a police uniform? Are you a police officer then? If you are, I'd of thought the guys you work with would of been able to tell you all this. I'm not saying we don't want to help you, it's just a bit confusing. Anyway, best of luck with it all.

No, they are later spec controls. They have the direction control switch on them.

I never said it wasn't available, I said it wasn't in the brochure. And actually they very well could say NO, if it meant possibly talking the customer up to a higher spec car! I think that's called SELLING ;)
