  1. Glad you've got it sorted bud
  2. I now use Google Translation for anything Japanese as it works quite well indeed, Yahoo and Babelfish are quite pants in comparison! :D
  3. Not sure off the top of mi head, but you can click this to read it in some better form of English (sort of anyway ;) ) http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fpage5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp%2Fjp%2Fauction%2Fe68546216&sl=ja&tl=en&history_state0=
  4. An OEM illuminated rear panel...... http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e68546216 Yes that is correct, current auction price IS 138,800 JPY with a Buy-It-Now of 148,800JPY, which converts to £924.73 and £991.73 and there are no bids on it!  :xxx:
  5. According to the specs on the Harman Kardon site it will accept other mp3 players, but I don't know how it would control them though  Well he's a Powerseller with almost 30000 feedback at 100%, so I would assume not. No not got one yet, can't justify spending on that when Eliza needs fixing first ;) Hopefully though I'll keep an eye on it, and update it as the auctions expire, and with that quantity, I could be in for ideas for an xmas pressie!! :D Oh yeah, the other thing is that I've seen them on another respected website selling at £39.95 = delivery, so I'd think the price is correct
  6. I recently bought myself an iPod so I can have a very wide range of music playing while driving (as I do a fair bit of driving around these days) So for my daily driver (Rover 220 SDi) I have an OEM radio/cassette head unit, so I simply bought a £1.99 cassette adaptor for that, which works great and has the iPod on a bracket mounted from a suctioncup on the windscreen - nice and simple, but basic! Now I would like something a little bit more intergrated for Eliza (once she is back on the road) so I've been looking at what is available on the market and have come across one of these...... It's a Harman Kardon Drive + Play. A friend of mine has got one in his Jag, and it looks a nice little, un-obstrusive, accessory that delivers what it promises. So what you've got is a connection to your iPod, which you can leave out of sight in the center consol/glovebox etc, a display screen which shows what your iPod screen would show normally, and a dial device to control your iPod. If I do go for this I'm thinking of putting the iPod in the center consol with the display on top of the righthand (lights) pod and the controller inside the ash tray (I don't smoke!) :smash: These retailed for £250 when they first came out, but have now been replaced by the Mk2 version, which has a full colour screen (can't see the point when you want to listen to music while driving!) so these older models are going for a song now. Found this link on eBay, and it's only £29.99 with FREE delivery!!!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=370227206932 And the guy's got 800 of them to sell  So I thought I'd give you guys n gals a heads-up, someone might find it usefull Dave
  7. This has always seemed to be a problem organising a good meet. There have been quite a few of the good regulars that are no longer associated with the club who would almost always attend a Midlands meet. I suppose the other problem is that the Midlands Area covers a lot of ground and so it means that the few that are willing to do the meets are flung in all directions. We do seem to have a hell of a lot of guys n gals who are just not interested in meeting up for a pint, a munch and a chat at all! Ive said it before, and I'll say it again, a lot of the membership are simply on here for info/help and are just not interested in any form of club activity! They are not 'Car Owners Club' people, they are simply car owners! Incidentily I can't remember the last time we had a Midlands meet that was this side (East) of the Midlands!! ;)
  8. Well those JBL's will handle 120w, so for an average head unit they be fine. I would say that if those JBL's were wired through your OEM amp, and the amp didn't have the signal wire connected then that will prevent them from working correctly. as stated, wiring direct will improve no-end :D
  9. There you go........ PINK!!
  10. Mot

If it's booked in with Jeff as MOT work you are fine to drive it there as long as you are insured. Although you may be stopped by the fuzz, but as long as you can confirm where you are taking it, ie; it's booked in, then you'll be fine.
  11. I would say a bit of wire modding is required here! Disconnect the amp, and run the speaker wires direct from the head unit, you will receive a much better sound. This is assuming you are using an aftermarket head unit?
  12. Thanks anyway bud, it's appreciated anyway  And thanks for the ideas guys, I'll see what can be done with them Dave
  13. The Series 5 one is in stock, just 4 out of stock!
  14. My old 1981 2.8 Injection Capri. I really should never of sold her. Although I replaced her with another 2.8i (5 speed) it was never as good as my old 4 speed. Even an XR4i (3 door), which was a lot smoother and in much better condition, was still no mact for the fun I had in the first 2.8
  15. Yeah I see where you're both coming from, but I didn't mention the fact that he sells the full alarm for only £40! And like I say, I'm more than sure he'll still sell the remainder of the alarm for the same price ;)
  16. Look at that packaging! Exactly how I received a 'box-set'. They are ripped from the original DVD Dual Layer, and burnt onto DVD single layer discs that have a silver coating and not the usual purple, so they are well organised. Basically the quality isn't fantastic but more than watchable. Personally I wouldn't bother! Dave
  17. Chinese rip-offs, trust me, I've just done some 'digging' ;)
  18. You've got some fooking big birds up your way, haven't you?!!
  19. Thanks very much mate
  20. Yeah they handle really well, same can't always be said about the drivers though can it!
  21. Cheers bud, I would appreciate that :D
  22. Both of my alarm fobs for the Zed have the rubbers perished, so after a bit of digging I've contacted a seller on eBay, who sells the same alarm as mine and states that he is a fitter of many years, to see if he knew where I could get some or even if he had any lying around! Well he's just contacted me back and says that they arn't available on their own (not surprised as Scorpion have gone out of business) so the only way he can help me is to take a couple out of a brand new alarm box and sell me just the rubbers.... for £10 + £2 P&P = £12 in total! Do you think that's a bit steep (as I'm sure he'll sell the alarm, with the fobs (just minus the rubbers) to some un-suspecting soul later) or is it about right? Come to think of it, does anyone know where I could get these cheaper, or has anyone got any they could sell me (preferably cheaper than £12 ;) )
  23. Well done Craig, hope everything works out for you :duffer:
  24. Well done Allan, pleased for you, glad you sorted it in the end
