  1. Evening all, I have a Dell D610 laptop that's not working and I hope someone here could point me in the right direction..... Symptoms.... Firstly it froze and had problems switching it off. Then when switched back on again the following day all three lights lite, then turned off. So I did a search on net and after following various leads I decided that the motherboard was shot. So guaranteed working, used, laptop base (case, motherboard, fan) assembly was obtained and I've just fitted the old ram, processor, heatsink, hard drive, DVD drive and screen and turned her on....... All three lights come on, go off then the Caps Lock light starts to flash for about 10 seconds then goes off and the laptop dies! Any ideas? I did use new thermal paste when I installed the heatsink, and cleaned off the old properly first. TIA Dave

  5. You are indeed very correct!!
  6. Jesus!! It's only a phone!! ;)
  7. Sorry to hear you're having probs Stu. I've been a seller for quite a long time now on eBay, selling refurbished mobile phones, I used to have them as a BIN, and have a quantity of 5 per page. Although it's slightly changed now you use to have to press the BIN button, then alter the quantity button (if you wanted more than one) then click Confirm! Now someone did all of this and clicked a quantity of 2, and never paid. When I sent him a message asking for payment he stated that he never wanted them and must of clicked by mistake!! How the hell did he manage to click three buttons and change the quantity by mistake??!! There really are some tottal dim-witted moronic idiots out there, that really shouldn't be let out in public un-attended!!
  8. I'm glad things are coming together for you Nick (and not just for my own reasons, lol ;) ) Really can't wait to see this in the flesh :cool2:
  9. That's nice :cool2: even with the pram handle on the back ;) actually I'm undecided as to whether I like the spoiler or not. Defo like them in black though
  10. Thanks for that Baz appreciate it bud, I am seriously considering one of these... in fact I may be going to see one at the weekend ;)
  11. I'm sure it does, but the 3.0 bit is the problem ;)
  12. Thanks guys  Yep good point on the cam belt and the electrics I was aware of. Sorry to hear that you had problems with yours David. pbryant_knight  why would I want a 300ZX? ;) Black-zed, been looking at the S40 as well. Had the benifit of a V70 last year for a month, loved it :D Baz, I'm surprised you hadn't said anything else regarding my Rover ;) lol
  13. OK, so buying the Rover 820 Vitesse Coupe may of been a mistake, considering how dissapointed I am with it. The car in general has been fine, I just don't like how harsh the ride is or the fact that I've had so much bad luck with it (and please don't just say, well it's a Rover what do you expect, because the problems could of been on any car!;) ).... Anyway I've been looking around for something I like the look of, is cheap and will be comfortable to drive to and from work on a daily basis (40 mile round trip). I've decided I can afford to run a 2.0l so upto that will be fine, but I've had trouble to find something that I actually like the look of. I don't just want a mode of transport I want something that looks good. Well I've been looking at the Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TSpark saloon (circa '99 to 2001 ish). Anyone had any experiance with these cars? Things I should look for etc? Any help appreciated. I've joined the owners club to gain any tips I can, but would love advise from people who arn't in the club, if you see what I mean (bias and all that).
  14. Probably because there isnt a 'space'!!! ;)
  15. http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?page=iPlayer.main&PHPSESSID=apbqij8784l36k6km0isig5vi5 iPlayer is from the BBC, a chance to catch up on programs you may miss. It's available on-line as a stand alone program for a PC, it's on Virgin Media boxes as well and has been launched on FreeSat HD boxes as long as you have a good broadband connection. Well worth it just for when I miss Dr Who, as I can watch it in high quality through my HD TV :D
  16. From the FreeSat website....
  17. Got the best of both here with HD FreeSat with iPlayer and Freeview in the TV, so I have Dave, Sky3 and Virgin 1, not that there is ever anything worth watching anyway :D
  18. Welcome back bud. Hope everything is well with you and hope to see you again soon mate :cool2:
  19. NO, because of the lines, fronts are diagonal, rears are horizontal! It's an international standard.
  20. Whoops, I've just noticed something, that switch is for the FRONT Fog lamps!!!!! Hence the 'beams' coming from it go downwards and point to the left, and on mine they come out in a straight line and go right!! But the link to eBay is correct for the rear :D
  21. I've always considered a Start button, but wasn't sure  Does it look like this.... or this.... I could be interested, but I'm not sure what is involved in fitting it :D
  22. Shouldn't it be 'Fairrady' anyway? ;)
  23. Sorry to hear that bud, but what's the point in using a snipper tool and bidding at the last moment?? I thought the tool was there so you can bid to your max in advance and it bids at the last few seconds for you?!
