Thanks mate :bow: Just about everything else has been updated recentley, so I think the only thing holding this one back is the processor now. I'm quite happy with the Celeron, I don't do many things at the same time anyway, so a hike from 1.8 to 2.4 should do it for me. I cant go any higher than 2.4 without changing the motherboard, and thats not on the cards yet. And the overclocking sounds like it could be a pain in the ar5e, so I'll give that a miss then :D

I've also read that I may be able to overclock the new processor, from 2.4 to around 3.06, is this right? Incidentley, before you ask, it's a Socket 478, with a FSB of 533, I can either go for a Intel Celeron D upto 2.4Gb, for around £40 to £50, or a Intel Pentium also upto 2.4, for around £85. Will probably go for the Celeron, as I cant see spending almost double the price worth it, as I've run this PC on a 1.8Gb celeron for the last 3 years now.

I'm looking at upgrading the processor in my PC. I've found the correct one (socket type and FSB), but my question is, can I just take out my old one, and put in the new one without having to re-install all my OS and software? I've been told, by a collegue, that it is as simple as that, but thought I'd check with some of you IT type peeps on here :bow: :D TIA

I've just spent the last 8 hours downloading a movie over the net, to find that, apparentley, I don't have the correct CODEC :confused: How on Earth do I find the correct one? Sorry mate, but 1) these have been recorded in Region 2 and 2) this is a special for Subscribed Members only. If another member wants to copy it into Region 4 for you then thats up to them, but i cant as my DVD burner is now locked into Region 2.

Steve, From this bit of information I would sugest that you walk away from this now. Don't even worry about the bid on eBay, just leave it. This guy has obviously been lieing to you. Take a nice long look at some of the cars in our For Sale section, at least with members cars you can always look back through the members old posts to see how he's cared for his car and what problems he's had. My other car is fully insured, with full no-claims, and fully comp, although as long as it is insured I don't beleive that makes any difference. I'm 38 with no claims/accidents against me and have the Zed on a limited 5000 mile policy, for around £290. Thats for a Jap import TT. I'm sure they'd give a good deal if I was to have the Zed as my only transport. HTH

If you are a subscribed member to this forum, then you can get a good deal through Houghton Insurance in our traders section. And they DO insure imports on a classic policy, if you have it as a second vehicle. Being above a certain age helps a lot as well. HTH

Steve, at the current auction price, it's still not a bad bargain, as long as everything is OK with it. Looking further at the add, I'd say it may have only been imported last month, which isn't a bad thing, but I'd think (as above) he is probably a dealer. 4-Wheel Drive, Air Conditioning, Alarm, Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Stereo, CD Player, Central Locking, Climate Control, Convertible, Cruise Control, Electric Seats, Electric Windows, Power-assisted Steering (PAS), Premium Sound System, Rear Spoiler, Tilt Steering Wheel Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS), Driver Airbag, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Immobiliser, Passenger Airbag, Rear seat belts, Safety Belt Pretensioners Going through the list of equipment......(above) It's not 4 wheel drive, but it's 4 wheel steer. It's not a convertable, but is a T-Top. It doesn't have a tilt steering wheel. There isn't a driver air bag, or passenger one either, it's too early a model year for that. But again, still a nice looking Zed all the same. Even if he makes a 'Bodge' of the spoiler, it wouldn't be a problem to get sorted through the traders on here. If you manage to sort a viewing of it, post on here in the General section, to see if a member in the sellers local area would be willing to come with you/ meet you there to give it the once over, much better than wasting your time travelling all that way if you're not use to these cars.
