  1. Rich, By the sound of it you could have a fooked PTU! Unfortunatley I no, longer have a spare PTU, but I'm sure someone on here, and a bit closer to you, may very well help you out with one. Even if it's just a loan one to test this out. Put a post up in Help & Advice aswell, as it'll get noticed a bit more in there. I wish you luck with it, and don't dispare, it'll work out in the end :) All the best.
  2. To the anoyance of my fellow Midlands Zedders at the Bubble meet recently, I neglected to bring my camera with me :headvswal I'd left it sat on the bed and completely forgot to pick it up :headvswal Well my little old Fuji A202, 2 Mega Pixel, Non-Zoom is going into retirement now, as I've just bought a replacement :D ......................... This little beauty.......................... It's the Fuji S9500 Zoom, 9 Mega Pixel, 28-300mm Zoom lens. It's a nice bit of kit, and I can't wait to try it out at all the shows next year  Also for the shows next year, I've bought this little gem aswell (as I lost my last camcorder when I split from the wife) It's the Sony DCR-DVD202 DVD Camcorder. Records in Widescreen and directly onto mini DVD discs. As my show footage didn't get very far this year, I'm hoping to do a lot more shows next year, combined with both of the above to produce a very professional DVD later next year for sale. Armed with a new, much more powerfull, computer I'll be taking my DVD production to a new, far better, quality level.
  3. I've used Bittorent, and didn't get on with it at all (maybe i did something wrong?!) I'm currentley using Limewire Pro. This is a nice and simple to use program. It's relativley quick to use, only slowed down by either your connection or the amount of people who have whatever you're looking for, that are on-line at any one given moment. If your 'friend' is on dial-up, personally, I wouldn't bother, as it'll take ages to download anything. But whatever P2P program you use, always Virus-Scan anything you download BEFORE you open it!!! Disclaimer: I, Also, Do Not Condone The Use Of Any Programe That May Effect The Law Of Copyright Protected Material. ;)
  4. I was actually thinking Hillman Hunter, but now you've said the Cortina, I think it resembles that more than the Hunter. :D
  5. Arrrrrrrrrr, yes now you come to mention it, it does look like a Cortina. I was thinkinh something else though.
  6. As there is no reserve on the auction, he'll have no choice it it don't fetch much :D
  7. I'm sorry to dissagree with you, but you are NOT protected just because someone comes on here, pays £20, then can advertise (no dissrespect meant to slarty bartfast) what turns out to be a total dog and then fooks off never to be heard from again. But then you aren't on Autotrader either ;) But then saying that, it doesn't always stand even if someone has been here a while ;) :x: :nelson: But what it does get you is cheaper advertising, and to a specialist market, that is more likely to to know what they are talking about.
  8. And, as a typical 70's Jap designed car, what British car does it resemble? ;) Think more on the back end....
  9. Fully agree with you. I started off with a 1977 Honda Civic 1.2 :D And now I've got, what I consider is, the best car I'm ever likely to own :D
  10. How fookin many?
  11. Oooooooooooooooo thats nice  Would like one of these myself.
  12. Oh YES, looks like some very nice Zed mods coming in the new year :D But won't have the money untill February :( Arr well, somthing to look forward to :D Just in time for the better weather.
  13. Following my news of getting a new job, we all had a redundency meeting with HR today. Well it seems that I will not only receive my redundency payment, but also all my notice period in full even though I won't work any of it! All TAX FREE!!!!! :hyper: So I'm going to end up with 2 1/2 times the amount that I was expecting  Just got to make sure that my house sells first, then find somewhere to spend some of my money :D ......... mmmmmmmmmm now what does the Zed need ;) What an excellent bit of news just before xmas! Hmmmm, I wonder how much a full strip out re-spray will cost me? :D New brakes, bushers, wheels....... hmmmm full manual conversion????
  14. Where as I entierly agree with what you are saying, I would doubt that your mate will find any forum that will stick the the subject matter alone, but than who would want a forum to purely disscuss the ZX alone? The old hands would get bored enventually and the quality of posting would go down (not that some of the quality is all that good in the first place  ) IMHO ;)
  15. Don't go with AOL either :headvswal I'm also looking at Eclipse, looks like a good deal on their Flexing system ;)
  16. Right, as an ex-washing machine mechanic :D I would recommend, as stated above, checking the motor brushes. If they are OK check out the belt while you have the lid/back off (depending on model). Also rotate the drum by hand and, as also stated above, check for roughness/ any noises there as well. Then come back and tell us your findings, and I could diagnose from there :D All the above actions should take yu no more than about five minutes, including removing the screws. HTH Right thats Call out (to my PC) £21.50 Time spent on diagnose 1x £5.50 (per 15 minutes) =Total £27.00.................. Cash or cheque will do :D lol
  17. Take a look here , it's the service schedual for the Zed here in the UK (if you haven't already) Hope that is of use to you.

  19. So, on the whole, Zedders seem to be happy to be with someone else, either married or not, but no-one is un-happy to be divorced. So all the ones that are divorced think they have made the right choice?! Well I hope you're all happy in whatever choice you have made. :D
  20. Fooked if I know :D ;) This has been my most popular thread ever I think, 50 replies and 84 votes :D :hyper: Thanks to everyone for voting, and keep it up, as there is no end date for this one :D
  21. Have a look HERE , it's the wiring diagram.
  22. This page "CLICK HERE" should help you out. Looks, from you directions, to be the alternator. HTH
  23. Yeah, but the point being is that we all lived together in harmony. Whereas the current way of thinking is that we have to give way to the incoming ideals.... why should we? I have no problem with other nationals coming over here to live and work, and even practice their own religion and traditions. But the problem is when they start to complain about us practising our own religions and traditions, thats the point when it becomes un-acceptable. Oh and by the way, Hitler did have some very good ideas, but he made terrible mistakes and took some very bad advice (he was very impresionable) He also went about it in the wrong way. Dont' jump on a band wagon, unless you know your facts, because I do! ;)
