  1. Glad you like it :D You can have the full size one if you want, it's 2 meg :D
  2. Been practising with the Fuji today, with a few different shots of Zeds. Although this shot didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, I quite like it for the abstract way in which it has worked in the reverse as to what i intended :wack: (and if you don't understand what i just said, well don't ask as I don't know either  )
  3. Will do Alan. Going to phone this new company up tomorrow and see what their exact price would be, and some defo details on this coating. Especially as it looks like I could have sold my chrome ones three times over !! :D So I'd better get a move on.
  4. Right, I've made a bit of a boo-boo here, and seem to have had my brain mashed in the sun. When I got a quote a few months back (from LapTab) it was £95 per wheel for mirror polishing, not chromeing! So I'm very sorry f I gave anyone a heart attack thinking that I could get chromeing done cheap!! As I've been told to expect around £1400 for a set of alloys chromed! :D Anyway, as mirror polishing is as good a finish as chrome, and the company I've been talking to today (not Lap-Tab) said they are in the process of testing an un-destructable coating to protect polishing alloys! This is what I beleive I'll be doing to my stock alloys then. :D

Is this yours by any chance. Caught at launch!! If it is, I have the full size (2 meg) pic if you want it?
  6. Lol   Come on, no one would be THAT stupid, surely??? :slap:
  7. Which one was it, one of the centre ones or an outside one? I had this very same problem (also today), but mine was an outside edge one, so i managed to 'force' the lockin assembly upwards enough to get a stubby screwdriver into remove the trim screws. Hope that is of help to you.
  8. About sums it up for me as well
  9. Yeah i think mine might need re-gassing. When it was really hot the other week it was running full blast on Auto, and i only had it set at 18 degs, ten mins later it was still on full blast  It works, but doesn't seem all that good.
  10. A while ago Jeff TT posted a Top Tip regarding how to eliminate the smell, and bacteria, from your Air-Con system. Here if you want it! Well I've been trying to obtain an spray can of this stuff, I found a couple of companies that supply it, but hadn't got around to buying it yet. When i was in Halfords the other day I just happened to spot , what i thought at the time, was a can of this stuff. Well it was, in sorts. What you do is set the Air-Con onto recirculate, put the fan on full blast, push the passenger seat fully forward, close all the windows, place the can on the rear passenger footwell, press down the spray button (which locks into place) and exit the car (pretty damm quick!!) making sure all the doors are shut. Once the can has emptied it's contents leave it another 5 minutes and then switch off the Air-Con and dispose of the empty can! JOB DONE, fresher smelling air, and no bacteria in your system. What could be simpler? I did mine while waiting for the oil flush to work before my oil change! It's by Comma, and it's simply called 'Air Conditioning Cleaner' and only cost £9.95, bargain I thought.
  11. Which one? The Red, the Orange, the Yellow, the Green, the Blue or the Purple??!! ;)
  12. Might as well, as I don't think that there are enough at the top of the General section!! ;) :wack:

  14. All the new trims are fitted in time for tomorrow. A bit of a pain to fit the windscreen ones, buy they eventually went in place OK. The passenger side targa top trim went in a doddle, but I had a rusted screw in the drivers side one, which caused a bit of a problem! Anyway all done now, along with the fitting of a complete new scuttle the other weekend and all three wiper arms she's looking mighty fine at the moment  Outside appearance is looking almost complete, just got to get some new swag-line tape made up. Oh and my wheels sorted out.
  15. Yep, this works every time for me, in fact I don't even bother to hold it straight anymore, always at the 4 O'Clock position.

  21. I'll get mi coat!!!!
  22. Thanks Leigh, appreciated mate :duffer: I did this to one of my 2.8i Capris as well, I bought it with a full body kit on and one of those 'Cosworth' Whale tails on it :D As it was an original '81 model (first year of production) I eventually returned it to it's original factory condition, ie; proper paintwork, stripes and decals, OEM fogs and some OEM body panels. I even got hold of the RECARO badges for the seats. It was mint and original when I'd finished. Although I'm going slightly down a differant route here, I'm trying to do the same thing :D I love doing it. BTW Leigh, hows yours coming along?
  23. Well after a long day of not getting much done (except my trip in a 350 Gran Tourismo :D ) I managed to fit the two little roof trims! As for the link I posted earlier I found that there is a different way to fit these roof trims!! I'll try to explain................... Remove old trim, by pushing the right hand one forwards, and the left hand one rearwards. Now fit new white clips. These clips have a movable section on them, these slide (click/ratchet) sideways. They also have two little bits that stick out sideways on the movable section. Righthand ones fit so that they push rearwards, with the movable section, part with two little sticky-out bits, pushed to the outside of the car. Now comes the tricky bit...... The trim fits into the inner side of the two clips, and then lower the outer side of the trim down towards the outer part of the clip, and press down with all your mite until you hear a 'Click' sound. The trim should now be clipped into place, you can adjust the forward/backward position if required. The left hand trim fits the same way, except that the clips slide in the other way round, so that the two little sticky-out- bits are still on the outside on the car (if that makes sense) I'll try to get some pics of the clips to show what i mean later. I hope that is of help to someone.
  24. Been out in it :D And can only say WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was No/ 20 of 175, all of which (if you don't know) are in Yellow, as in the pic above. So if you see a 350 in that Yellow, then it's a Gran Tourismo, one of only 175 that have been made, no more will ever be made again. WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D (
